How to replace a Radiator on a Jeep Wrangler JK 3 6L

  • This video shows you a detailed step by step how to remove and replace your radiator on a Jeep Wrangler JK 3.6L. The Jeep in this video is a 2016 Jeep Wrangler but the process is the same for all Jeep JK's. Ensure you vehicle is cool (120 degree F or below) and not hot when working on it. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
    PLEASE NOTE - you must read your Owner's Manual to determine your specified coolant (antifreeze) for your Jeep. The specific coolant for this JK is listed in this video. In general, 2012 Jeep Wrangler JKs take a HOAT type coolant, while 2013 - 2018 JKs take a OAT type coolant. You cannot mix these Coolants and must use the appropriate type for your vehicle.
    The specifications of the Radiator used is shown in the video (A-Premium Brand) (See Video).
    Tools Required for this project: 8mm socket wrench, 10 mm socket wrench, various extensions, ratchet, 8mm gear wrench (or offset / open wrench), retainer clip removal tool, hose removal tool, Channel lock wrench (option), flat head screwdriver, coolant funnel kit (see in video), coolant (see specific type in video - for 2016 JK).
