    Word of advice to someone. Not all replacement radiators come with the rubber bushings on the bottom mounts. Make sure you swap them over from your old radiator to your new one! You're welcome!

    I am not the greatest of mechanics and was a little weary of trying this myself. Bottom line, oldest son's 2014 Wrangler had a coolant leak and after checking everything found another video that was just like his problems. It wasn't the best video did show a changing out of the radiator by a garage mechanic like me. So after finding this video, I was very pleased with your step by step process of removing the old and installing the new. I know that you can't show every single step and that's fine, but after watching this video, we went out one afternoon and removed the old radiator in about an hour (but I could be slow sometimes). I did remove the upper and lower heater hoses while I had everything apart and open. I was very pleased that everything I saw in the video was exactly like my son's Jeep. The biggest problem is that his is raised up some so the height was awkward and I had to sometimes stand on a step ladder or up on the front bumper. Actually, that was a lie, the biggest problem was putting the new radiator in at an angle to attach everything (condenser and cooler). That took us about an hour, when the radiator came in and then another 30 mins to get it out of the garage. The fact that you show the bleeder valve is a lifesaver. How much easier can that make it? I actually said one time, "this dude put it on all by himself, so how hard can it be?", but my son laughed and said, "I bet he had 15 guys helping out of camera sight!" Total time for us 3.5 hrs, and 3 cuts to one finger and thumb. Can't say thank you to you guys enough.

      @@1AAuto Just finished the radiator and thermostat install on my 2013 JKU with your tutorials! Went so well thanks to your video.
      Getting the new radiator in, and lining up the condenser as well as the plastic shrouds that you take off the old rad was a pain doing solo. Removing those constant-tension hose clamps without that handy tool was absolutely brutal too, had to remove then and replace with standard hose clamps. Thanks again guys keep up the GREAT work!

    Great video. I just got mine from you guys earlier this week. Working slowly with my teenage son it took me an hour or so. We forgot to swap the lower rubber pieces at first and had to undo it partially. Otherwise perfect video. Apparently some don’t have the lines bracket through the wheel well. I had a bolt there. Thought I lost the bracket, but internet search had others missing it too. Thanks again.

    Great video. I used it to replace my 2015 wrangler radiator. I have one question. Along the hose on the driver side there is a braided wire connected by a clip, but there is also a small rubber hose and i can't find where it is suppose to connect to. I see it in your video at 21:30 mark but it's not connected. It's under the braided wire which is under the hose. It's arched and right to the left of the mechanics hand. I don't see anywhere is was removed or replaced. In looking at the end it appears as though it was never connected to something because it appears new and unstretched. Can you tell me where it goes to. Thanks. I have a pic with hose highlighted. How can I send That.

      Drain all the coolant/ antifreeze. When you disconnect the lower radiator hose, you’ll drain the whole coolant system. You can skip the drain part and just drain the system by pulling the hose. Just be ready to catch it all.

    The radiator they shipped didn't have the hole on the left for the transmission cooler only the two on the right. It only lasted 4 months it is leaking on the drivers side where the plastic and aluminum join. Plus as an added bonus for your warranty to continue you have pay for return shipping on the radiator that only lasted 4 months. Very disappointed and will now factor in these things when ordering from 1A auto in future. Plus I can't update my review on the 1A auto site.

    • @markdphelps
      @markdphelps 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      An easier way to do this is at the 7:52 mark, take the 2 10mm bolts out of the top of the radiator and tilt it back. That gives you way more room to take out the 8 and 10mm bolts on the cooler and you don't need a wobble socket. Put them back in the same way.
