The bass on the song complimented the guitar very well. Loved the guitar playing on their music!

Not only are your lessons great, I also love your selection of music. From Oklahoma City, Ok. Originally grew up in Detroit listening to these great bands.

I went to see RM four times in the seventies around the time when Stranded, Country Life and Siren albums and singles were released. Also went to see PM (801) and BF solo concerts.

Great lesson of a wonderful piece by my Guitar Hero Phil Manzanera. His works always had something different and interesting, influenced by his early life. For example Lagrima from Diamond Head. BTW a lesson on Diamond Head would be terrific!

Another fantastic lesson! Love your choice of guitarists. If you get the time, could you do a video on Elliot Easton (The Cars), Dave Gregory (XTC) or Ricky Wilson (The B-52s)? Really underrated players, and there are literally no decent lessons to be found for Ricky Wilson's bizarre set-up/style/tunings.

Great lesson mate. You must get lots of requests for different songs but I would appreciate it if you could handle Godley&Creme,s I pity inanimate objects..... another priceless piece by Phil Manzanera. I'm sure he's using a single scale but I cannot find it..... good luck.

Bravo - stick with the post-punk. And I classify these guys there even tho they came before that genre - with a sprinkle of glam

I know he ran his guitar through Eno's Synthi AKS (or maybe it was a VCS3?) on the first two records, but this song was on Stranded and Eno had left the band by then, so... who knows? Maybe he borrowed it for the record. Cool sound, though.

    • @SaxJockey

Eddie Jobson had joined RM on Synth, so that kit might have been available. Also I understand that PM and Andy Mackay were both known for using various effects on occasion.
