Adrian, thank you so much for this amazing lesson. I've Loved Joy Division since I first heard them in the early 80s and it's so great to be able to play Bernard's leads after just a few tries with your lesson. You're the best mate! Keep the JD coming!!
Hey man, I’m loving these tutorials. Just started learning guitar and these videos are so helpful, nobody else really does JD. I was wondering if you’d do anymore 😊
Awesome........................ thanks. Continuing with the post-punk theme how about some early Echo & the Bunnymen, "Crocodiles" is a fave of mine.... just a thought
I really enjoy your lessons. I'm going to start learning this song. You have good taste in music. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. God bless :)
Heh heh - I saw Joy Division supporting the Buzzcocks at the Glasgow Apollo in 1979! If I had to swap that for another gig, I'd choose any Ziggy Stardust gig in 1973 with Mick Ronson tearing it up onstage.
Stellar lesson. I'd love to see you do a lesson for Diiv's "Under The Sun". Some riff similarities to Transmission, albeit a different style of music. Thanks for posting this great lesson.
Can you pleas to a tutorial for what difference does it make by the smiths. Your charming man video was rly helpful. It would be much appreciated if you did. Thanks
Awesome! Or as you brits say “brilliant!” Love that post punk. Would really appreciate if you can provide any info on pedals used if any. Keep the Joy coming. Greetings from Los Angeles, California!
Adrian really like your channel, not sure if you've done this already but what amp do you use and pedals. Your tone fits really well with your backing tracks, always sounds so close thanks Jon.
Hi, my english is a little bit more better than basic. I think your lessons are great, you have great peadgogical skills. I have one idea - It would be great if you try to - in case of Joy Division/New Order tracks- connect the guitar line with bass. I think that Joy Division's or New Order's meoldies are not the same without Peter Hook bass line
You are the best, most thorough guitar teacher on TH-cam. I only wish you weren't so busy and you could post more often. You seem to like your post punk. How do you feel about Killing Joke?
Hello Adrian, while the rest of the song is pretty nice and easy to learn, I cannot figure out what Barney is doing on this track while Ian is singing, looks like he's strumming something with his hand on the first few frets. Would appreciate a lot if you could help out!
That's really cool :) reminiscent of the Shadows somewhat with more of an edgy guitar tone (I wonder what you were using to get that) Anyway, I like it's upbeat attitude, and very nicely played as usual Adrian ...
My partner commented that all I listen to is monotonous and repetitive music. Now she can hear me play it too. Cheers mate.
lol
😂😂
I can relate to that, I wait for it to end up in breaking up
Good on you chief
Invent some music! Make it look easy
Man you are trying so hard to hold back the smiles during the demo! 😄
Thanks for the lesson 😉
What a nice bloke, what a great tutorial of a brilliant song. Well done!!!!!

Delicious! How about Dead Souls?
That's really cool :) reminiscent of the Shadows somewhat with more of an edgy guitar tone (I wonder what you were using to get that) Anyway, I like it's upbeat attitude, and very nicely played as usual Adrian ...
Great vid, how about some Billy Childish/ Medway garage bands guitar lessons. Can’t find any lessons of that on TH-cam.
Good job
Amazingggg
What effect and setting are you using?
Whoa. That 60fps is fucking with me.
Good video I'm just tired of hunting for the notes! It's A B AB etc
Awesome!!.... please, more Television (Guiding Light, Elevation, THe Dream's Dream, anyone!!! :)
Good grief, I was just wondering if he breaks down any Television earlier today, time hit the “search” button!
It would be cool if you could do play along style of video with tabs
How did you get that tone on the guitar- what did you use?
Brilliant, any chance of doing white riot
thanks mate. your a great teacher.
Make a lesson on new dawn fades pls
God save the UK!
What guitar do you use ?
Lucy Griffiths it looks like a Fender Jazzmaster. The same Robert Smith used for 17 Seconds LP.
Love will tear us apart please:)
What guitar tunning is this in?
EBGDAE (default)
That's it. Gonna stop just watching and actually learn to play this
I'm a bass player, but this guitar part is too cool not to learn. Cheers!
You're clamping wide power chords like cobain
the chords were extremely bad explained the rest was perfect
What are the notes? Tabs are dumb
