Wow!!! Fantastic 🎼💎🌈❤️🌟. It's the first time I've listened to this version with just piano. Amazing Richard 🎹 Unique, exceptional man and musician. Miss you....♥️🙏💔.
Ahh...the "violence" sequence of Zabriskies Point. It turned out great for them(antonnioni), that they chose this band to do the Soundtrack of the movie. Best thing in the movie is the Soundtrack. Rick Wright, sail away on waves of peace, wherever you are
Oh yea….I was alive and heard DSOTM and was fortunate to see PF perform it….I don’t play piano or look like any of the band…just a regular joe with no Fantasy stories to tell
So fortunate that the directory of Zabriski Point foolishly omitted this music from his movie and its soundtrack, so that 'Us And Them' could later grace Dark Side of the Moon. Waters later said it was odd that it took Pink Floyd a couple years to realize they needed to advance this music into a full song.
@@Oh_I_Will With David Gilmour, Rick Wright, and Dick Parry, we're talking about men who were "mates since middle school" according to Gilmour. Sure, he was their studio and touring saxaphonist, but as a friend I can see him dropping in at the studio or their homes to practice, develop new material, or just "jam."
Read an article where Scientists made predictions that people will still be listening to Floyd 200 years from now. I strongly agree! Not a better group of intelligent minds put together in a musical group ever!
Why do people do this with Pink Floyd? I see it a lot. John Lennon was not a great guitarist, neither was Harrison...but see: Beatles. Yes, Genesis ,ELP, etc may be some of the most talented bands ever, but what the Floyd did, for whatever reason, still resonates in a way they don't. All four members will admit they are not virtuosos, just guys who taught themselves to play and made amazing music.

I start playing keyboard because of him.
Tears. Hauntingly beautiful.
GONE, but never forgotten. A master of his trade
He inspired me as a kid in the late 70s-80s to play keyboards. Miss him. 😢
Congratulations

All my musical love to her. The evening I learned the passing of Rick, I sat in the dark and played Wet Dream.
What a beautiful coincidence :) I was also born the day Rick died and I play piano and synth too :)
Let us hope she plays better than him, he is truly an awful pianist.
Beautiful. Rest In Peace Rick ✌️
already so is a masterpiece
It's so great to hear this solo piano part.
PINK FLOYD una banda que nunca olvidare y menos al tecladista
Que le dio la melodia a esta banda
RICHARD WRIGHT descansa en paz .

Recordando a RICK WRIGT pieza
Fundamental RICK
En las melodias de la banda
Siempre lo recordare .
(1946 -2008)
Just close your eyes and listen
To have heard Rick and Dick Parry just jamming in the studio would have been amazing
Dick Perry wouldn’t have come along just to “jam” on Sax….

RIP Richard Wright 1943-2008
Как же мне жаль, что Ричарда Райта уже нет!! Уникальный музыкант пианист!!! Глубоко чувствующий музыку!!😢😢😢😢😢

I want to start piano lessons but my family could never afford a piano or the lessons....
I'm guessing you are young. If so, with your first job comes a used keyboard and lessons on youtube. The world is wide open.
You can find used pianos people are trying to get rid of on cregslist for pretty cheap.
Are you in England? I could get you a free piano
You can afford Internet…you can afford lessons….stop Trolling with your Sob Stories
@@Oh_I_WillA piano isn't cheap
Try playing this at 0.75x speed... :)
If syd was the genius of Floyd,Roger the brain,Rick was the heart!chapeau!
Rick Wrigjt, the best in Pink Floyd.
@@newtonnazareth8616 er I don’t think so, no fantastic songs= no success whatsoever in the 1970s, I think you’re getting confused with Rodger Waters

I don’t think Chas Hodges has to much to worry about.
