    McMillan...You heard him! Send him a stock! I’d like to see how it compares. In my opinion this is a very honest, humble, and talented guy trying to pursue his dreams just like thousands of us out here that are living our dreams through him, at least for the time being. Now I don’t doubt, like he said, that McMillan stocks would work just as well, but I would definitely appreciate a comparison of them. Great video by the way, please keep them coming.

    I just put together a 6.5 creedmoor on a KRG Bravo chassis. I had a stainless tikka T3 action so I ordered a new takeoff Tikka CTR barrel. As long as you match tikka actions and barrels they will headspace correctly. Mine checked out at 2 thousands. I went with the KRG AICS mags because they have a 2.95 mag length and most other mags are shorter. On some actions you have to dremel the feed ramp to make it clear the longer mag box but with the tikka action you don't. I have to say I am very impressed with the fit and finish of everything. The mags fit tight as well with no rattling around. Honestly the KRG Bravo is nicer than anticipated. Thanks for sharing as well I actually watched your video before I ordered my chassis

      I'm glad my video helped. I am very very pleased with this rifle setup and I can now consistently make tight 1000 yard hits with this setup. Best of luck going forward to you!!

Planning running the triggertech Diamond flat shoe trigger, just ordered seekins scope rings as well, I had originally ordered a McMillan stock but when it showed up it had a huge void in the carbon fiber under neath the adjustable cheek piece… I’m sure I’ll have much better luck with a KRG product

    Hi John, nice rifle and video. I have a KRG Bravo too and like your idea of adding lead weight to the buttstock. How did you do this, cut too size and push in for no rattle??

    • @johnsimonelli9988
      @johnsimonelli9988  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I kept it simple and used different size fishing weights. I arranged them in such a way that when I screwed the caps back on it kept them in place, I have had no issues with them moving around. Hope this helps and good luck with your rifle.

    I know you said the chassis is solid but how well do the slip fit stock and fore end lock up? Kinda has me leaning away from it thinking it might develop some slop over time

    • @johnsimonelli9988
      @johnsimonelli9988  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It works well for me. So far I have shot 540 rounds at long range steel and I have had no issues. You can spend a lot more for a stock and I am sure they are worth the money but for my application which is strictly long range off a bi-pod it has been flawless.

    Whats the overall weight of this gun? I had a Rem 700 on a JAE Chassis before they got bought out and with the scope and bipod it weighed about 25lbs. I've since sold it and was looking for a much lighter option.

    • @johnsimonelli9988
      @johnsimonelli9988  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @tommcfarland5368 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is this a rem 700 action? Im not familiar with building bolt guns, only ARs and tinkering, but im interetsed...how much do you have in this rifle?

    • @johnsimonelli9988
      @johnsimonelli9988  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could call it a Rem action clone with upgrades, Look up Terminus Zeuss action and you can read all about the action. Here are my cost, Terminus Zeuss Action $1500, Benchmark barrel 26" $650, KRG Bravo chassis $380, Trigger Tech $190, AICS Magazine $70, This is my first rifle build and I am no expert, but I can say this about the rifle.........it shoots better than me! I have no problem shooting one inch groups at 300 yards. As far as the scope is concerned you can spend a little or a lot, I got mine on sale at Europtics for $2600. It is a Schmidt Bender PM II first focal plane 5X25X56 With Seekins precision mounts.

    Would this be good for hunting in a Tikka t3x lite?

    • @johnsimonelli9988
      @johnsimonelli9988  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my opinion it would not, I do own two Tikka T3 light rifles and I think it would be hard to make them any better than they already are. I choose the KRG chassis for its long range application in the prone position and it really works well for that and it is inexpensive compared to other long range chassis. I hope this helps.
