    Can I just say how much I appreciate how you present things. So many guntubers are so damn hyperbolic or excitable. This feels a bit like Steve from Brownells, tells me what I want to know in an acceptable amount of time and doesn't annoy me, honestly the highest praise I can give for review type videos. Also thank you for not being pedantic

    This is how Magpul hunter should have been.

    Thank you for this review. I have been looking at the MDT LSS-Gen 2 chassis for my Howa stainless barrelled action in .223. However, pricing is a bit beyond my budget. I am now considering the KRG instead. Other reviews I have seen only seem to lightly skim over the chassis and not really fill me with confidence in purchasing one. Yours went into far more detail which I appreciated. Cheers from Australia.

    Great youtube channel! Question about the KRG Bravo's cheek riser. The two posts kind of give it a flimsy look. How solid is that cheek riser when it is extended?

  • @Avenger556fmj

    Hi John, doesn't the KRG Bravo allow you to adjust mag retention? If I remember correctly, you can dial that in on X Ray by moving the foregrip before torquing down foregrip screws.

  • @erich9111
    @erich9111 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This looks great. Do they accept left handed actions? Would it be feasible to cut the slot for the bolt, or would that take away too much structure?

    • @snteevveetns
      @snteevveetns 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eric H sim waiting for a lefty version. I think there is too much modification needed for a lefty version (bolt, safety, trigger?)

    • @8541tactical
      @8541tactical  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Gerald Bondoc the MPA is a very competition oriented chassis. I have not reviewed them yet, but I like the features they offer. The W3C is more “tactically” oriented, but there is a lot of overlap between the two.

  • @hankrohleder

    It looks like the action bedding is a radius system. Can you speak to how nicely the action lays in there? I was interested in their x-ray chassis because it comes with the v-block system. I was leaning towards the v-block idea because it sounds like it's a little easier to get right.
    Is this radius bedding system going to be something that I am going to have to work on bedding like other aluminum bedding blocks?
    As always thank you for the great vids.

    Would you consider this to be a good stock to split time between hunting and long range target practice/PRS competition? Need to build a hunting rifle, but would like it to do double duty. This seems to be lighter than a lot of Mcmillian
    s like the a5, Manners and Grayboe stocks, well priced, more traditional profile. Maybe it would be a good candidate to be a hunting rig that can occasionally do double duty.

    Hey John. How are you doing. Great video. Forgot how many time I have watched this video the last several hours.
    Questions please. Need answered.
    Where can I find this? Lol.
    No one has it in stock
    How does this stock compare to Magpul 700 stock?
    The Tan Bolt knob, how's the feel when loading rounds? Is the knob tight or you get movement ???
    Thanks in advance for making this video. Now if I can only get this ordered.

      KRG is your best bet for purchasing one. I prefer this to the Magpul Hunter. The pistol grip is at a much better angle for me. The KRG Bolt Lift is a solid addition. I don't perceive any movement when I am cycling the bolt.

      Thanks in advance. I think that's my choice to purchase. Thought about it and I need to have more forearm section to be able to grip it when hunting or offhand shooting. I will keeps you posted as it's my winter project since I can't go out in cold. Health issues. Anyway I'm thankful for your videos. It's like Channel 1 on my tv.
      Last question, the Bolt Knob handle you using on this video. How tight and firm is this model when cycling bolt? Do you notice any movement of any type? Any?
      Appears to be from KRG? Am i correct?

      Did you have to get the handle drilled out?

    Maybe I missed it but will it handle a Remage style barrel?

      +dk17hmr if it is 1.25” or smaller diameter, it should.
