    Excellent point regarding the magwell. I found it very difficult to make smooth/fast mag changes with this chassis as well, but was able to craft a magazine funnel that solved the problem completely. This is a significant issue that the average person will not be able to fix. KRG really should address this issue.

    • @Womfat
      @Womfat  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, totally agree. I'm looking into making a funnel for it as well. I'm almost positive this issue is because KRG wants to minimize the amount of forend moulds to limit production costs/time. So they simply use the same one as a centerfire for this rimfire platform.

    Because of you, I've become obsessed with CZ rimfire rifles in 22lr. Initially I bought a CZ 455 in 22lr with a carbon sleeve barrel, and 'wow!' it is a tack driver. At 50 yards with cheap plinking ammo, I was shooting sub-MOA. Now I'm getting a CZ 457 pro-varmint tactical for pumping rounds down at the range, in addition to rabbit and fox hunting here in Australia. Liked and subscribed!

    One of the reasons I subscribed to your channel is because of videos like this one. I am taking possession of a Pro Varmint with the Bravo Chassis on it in a couple days. I was debating about that chassis and whether I wanted to keep it or go with an ACC chassis. Right off the bat I was going to put on the adjustable butt and I too was looking at the 300 american for that butt compared to the 400 the whole chassis cost. Now the ACC is 1300 american and you can see the math on that. I dont like fumbling for the mags as you demonstrated. I also appreciate ease of installing addons on the ACC. I am budget minded and recently purchased an Oryx for my 455 build. I like how that system is for a budget. As far as spacers for length of pull Im going to cut off PVC just to get the sizing that feels good to me and buy some aluminum round stock, cut it to the same length, drill it, and install to get is spaced. Spray it black, put in longer screws and call it a day. I like the way you explain things and make it easy for a novice, like myself, to have some fun with this on the cheap.

    Someone needs to 3D print some sort of funnel that can insert into the Bravo mag well, and work as a guide for the mag.

    Disliked the magwell so much I left without giving a like. Had to come back and say thanks for the review: you saved me from making a purchase I'd surely regret since I probably would have chosen this over the other one with the more traditional butstock.

    I have the KRG (black) on a 16.5 MTR, really like it. Feels great and I did see an improvement after it was installed. I also have a 20" 457 MTR that I wanted in a chassis. I wanted some variety so I did not shop another KRG, so I went to look at an MDT XRS - boy did it feel and look cheap compared to the KRG. After putting an Oryx in my hands, I was immediately smitten. All I can say is WOW! The fun factor (and accuracy) went way up with that action in an Oryx.

    Hi thanks for doing your videos. I put my Cz 457 in the bravo chassis and torqued it to the required specs and I found that I lost accuracy. I believe it came from the torque screw on the top area behind the tang of the action. They seem to have incorporated an articulating pivot point here. Ive played with the torque settings and found that if I torqued it to 30 inch pounds instead of the suggested 45 inch pounds my accuracy improved.But I'm not sure if I gained all my accuracy back. I found the original wooden stock to preform quite well. Did you find the same thing when you installed your rifle into this chassis? Maybe you could do a follow up and explain why they have added this pivot point in there chassis and if intact this improves or degraded accuracy. Thanks

    I need your advice, please :) I am thinking of building a CZ 457, do you think the pencil barrel 457 is just as good as the Varmin bull barrel (nonmatch chamber)?
    457 MTR is too expensive here in New Zealand, MTR ($1800), synthetic pencil barrel ($999), and Varmint bull barrel ($1270)

    KRG makes a mag filler for the 457 that solves the loading problem and funnels the magazine into the rifle. I think it's a $29 accessory from KRG.

    Hey Matt, love the channel. A couple of questions.. Just bought a cz457 with a KRG Bravo chassis and find it a bit small, wondering if you know how many length of pull spacers t will take? It currently has 3. Also, have you tried your buddies Bergara b14r rifle? I'm torn between selling my current rifle and getting a Bergara. Any thoughts on the Bravo vs. Bergara b14r stock. Cheers and I wanna buy a shooting bag off of ya next summer ;)
