Wow it’s been over 4 years…I remember being freshly moved into college my freshman year and my roommate and I were watching TH-cam and I see this video by a guy named Foolish Baseball and thinking “huh never heard of this guy, video looks interesting though” and I’ve been here ever since
I feel like the quiz must be based off actual mentions since if any type of appearance counts I'm pretty sure Bartolo Colon would be at, like, 50.

You typed in Hal Smith, but for some reason it looks like it wanted Hal Smith (1). Also, Brooks Robinson was on there, but it took when you typed Robinson and Jackie Robinson came up as well, so you didn't see it.

Personally, I think that if you *say* the full name out loud and only *type* the last name it would be perfectly understandable. I suppose that might confuse your typing, but I thought I'd throw out the suggestion.
Always love the sporcle vids! Btw, as an avid sporcler, you can use control + backspace to delete an entire word. It's not that useful in daily life but it's a godsend for wrong Sporcle guesses

You technically had 145 because you did type in Hal Smith but the answer was recorded as Hal Smith (1). Also you would have had Reggie Jackson if you had just typed "Jackson" for Shoeless Joe.

Only got 51. Spelling got me on a couple. Don't know how much time I wasted trying to figure out how to spell that White Sox pitcher who sped ran games who I'll just call Mark Burly here because I still can't wrap my head around the spelling. Also, Old Hoss. Didn't know there was a u in Radbourn. So there went about a third of my time frantically tying the same thing over and over again expecting it to know who I meant.

It's a reference to the Pedro Martinez video. Tim Keefe's 1880 season era+ of 293 edges Pedro's 291 from 2000 for the all-time major league record.
In the video (at around 18:45), Bailey jokingly dismisses Keefe's feat because Pedro threw more than twice as many inings in 2000.
