A new state-of-the-art 42 bed Intensive Care Unit opens at
The Royal Melbourne Hospital in October 2015, as part of the
Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) project.
The new Unit provides a full range of Level 3 adult intensive care services for patients from within the hospital and via the Emergency Department or transfers from other hospitals.
State-wide Trauma Services and the Victorian Critical Care Services
are provided from The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
This is an exciting time to think about working at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Situated next door is the Women’s Hospital and in 2016, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre relocates to Parkville.
