These are bamboo boards. They engrave really good and dark. There is no need for borax on Bamboo.

They are common bamboo boards. you can actually get them from everywhere!

Which oil you apply after engraving
I used Vegan Oil suitable for cutting boards.
What speed and power was you using for the different modes?
It depends on your laser and on the wood ..
This is bamboo ,and usually I engrave at 80% - 4000mm/min

it is not deep !
it burns the surface of the wood.
