2003 was the last year that Williams could really compete for the drivers' title.

@@MagicTankGaming I think it was sauber management who took the wrong decision to develope the 2009 car instead of making the 2008 one a championship winning car with robert kubica.

@@MagicTankGamingThat was BMW owned Sauber though, not Williams.
They were two separate teams from 2005 onwards.

How I love the sound of V10 engines, they are extremely noisy and show all their fury and grandeur in an F1 car

2003: "Come on, there is more space in Turn 1 to get the pole"
2023: "you were an inch above the white line - that´s a penalty..."

How they steer the wheel, very agrresive. Cars of that era were much harder to drive than current ones. Today they are considerably smoothier.

Lighter and smaller cars with almost the same amount of power than what they have today, with less downforce and mechanical grip

I wonder why onboard footage from 2003 looks so much better than any onboard until 2010. I've seen dozens of videos and it's not just the matter of video quality itself, that cameras just offered so much more and I can't tell why.

JPM was a Menace. Too hot headed sometimes, but he was absolutely fearless and driving the wheels off that thing. Everytime he stepped in that car he was ready to win it or bin it. In the early 2000s, as a german ofc i was a Schumacher fan and i "hated" JPM, but rewatching all of the V10 era now, i guess JPM, alongside Fernando are my fav drivers now. Just all in, all day everyday.
