It never made sense why Wiggins left Vaughters after he got 4th place at the Tour. He had to that point been pretty anonymous. His explanation was he needed to make the jump to the "Manchester United level" or something to that effect. However, Team Sky was not anything special at this point. He then of course won the Tour and then became buddies with Johan Brunyeel and Lance and it became clear what this guy's orientation was.
The chart at 0:20 was pretty revealing. It is highly improbable that Chris Froome won 4 Tours legitimately. He is riding now at the same level he was before his Team Sky days.

Sometimes meeting famous people you admire is not what you think it will be

British taxpayers and the National Lottery effectively funded Team Sky by paying for everyone and everything on the elite side of British Cycling (who run our Olympic Team, national championships etc). Said ‘everyone and everything’ also being assets of Team Sky. Staff (and riders) literally had two job titles: their British Cycling job title and their Team Sky job title, while really only doing one job. There was no separation of roles and equipment - down to the point where the same (infamous) laptops were used for both roles / organisations. It was an incredible deal for Rupert Murdoch, as he got all the advertising while other people paid.who must have been waiting to have his collar felt (but it never happened). Though it was a scandal waiting to be exposed, nothing was going to happen while British riders were doing so well under both banners. But once testosterone was discovered, it was only a matter of time before Murdoch decided to jump before he was pushed.

@@nealm6764 that entire team is doped!! The amount of riders that have gotten "sick" this season is pretty alarming and seems very sus to me. Did you see how strong they came out this year😳(won virtually every race they went to) and then all of a sudden so many of their riders got "sick" and had to leave races because of "sickness"🤔 Very sus!

Has there ever been a clean cyclist since 1990. I heard my hero of the time Pantani, Les Elephant, was taking substances as well.

I know a guy in his 80s who raced in the 60s and 70s. Raced with a young Sean Kelly. he tells me they were taking drugs back then too.
