- Sierra Leone's President has made an impassioned plea for Security Council reform, telling the Council that Africa had articulated a compelling vision on the matter.
President Julius Maada Bio was chairing a session on the council on addressing the historical injustice and enhancing Africa's effective representation on the Council.
Among the briefers was UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres who warned that the cracks in the foundation of the Security Council were becoming to large to ignore as he made the case for Africa's permanent membership of the body responsible for maintaining international peace and security.

Lol South Africa has is always fighting for Africa. Now the AU is now in G20 because of SA who has always been with the big boys table. BRICS also, we try to help the continent. ICJ we have a judge there, Olympics we there for th continent, Rugby we are the world champions representing the continent. in SA we have over 10 Million immigrants from all over the continent surviving through our economy and hard work.

The millions of Africans in this humanitarian crisis in Congo, Africa, the suffering and pain, are they calls?
If Africa is such desperate because Africa is not a permanent member with right of veto at the UNSC how can the continent make herself available to hear the issues on the continent, the voices of these millions and millions in humanitarian and other crisis on the continent?
The concern instead of being a reform of UNSC, for Africa it should be what about the others? The others, these millions and millions of Africans in refugees' centers, in situations of internally displaced, the thousands whose only desire is to flee miseries and other poverties.
How may Africans, in Africa are in need of drinking water in 2024?
Why can't Africa consider these issues as more important and channel her energies on them?
Maybe if the political leaders have a practical idea of the issues the millions in Africa are dealing with, they won't be concerned with the issue of a reform so Africa can be represented at the world's stage. They will say it is nothing compared to the burden life has become for these millions and millions in Africa.
