Ganondorf's neutral B went from a Captain Falcon copy, to the meanest back hand in history
And I can guarantee that it hurts hell of a lot more than a regular punch, given that sharp twist of the hips going into the backhand

Looking back on it, Brawl Zelda and Ganondorf looked waaaay better than Smash 4 Zelda and Ganondorf.
Why? They are the same just with better graphics
@@MB-po2or They change in artstyle hit them negatively. Mainly speaking on how the game handled skin textures for Smash 4. Zelda and Ganondorf got the worst of it.
I think what's better about Zelda in Smash 4 is that she at least has more expressions. In Brawl, she basically only had her "hurt" face and the same face for everything else. But for the rest, I prefer the Brawl version. Hair color, the purple of her dress, the material of her dress...

Well, Smash 4’s aesthetic don’t do the realistic characters any justice. Hence the hybrid aesthetic of Brawl and Smash 4 in Ultimate.

Bowser’s upgrades in the Smash 4 and Ultimate were very welcome. I just missed that side B special where you could grab your opponent and bite.
I always thought that old side b was supremely boring. It was basically just grab and pummel, except you could do it in the air.

Pretty sure he wasn't paying attention to just damage. Really shows how later smash games really have you stay inside of these kinds of moves better though.

@@YesSir-mz6ds you are right! Ultimate has a big advantage compared to the other smash games. The grafics, the character, the special moves, the final smashes and even the adventure mode. However subspace emissary was one of the best adventure mode in all the games.
@@xavieroliveira8653 I think wol is a downgrade from subspace emissary. That's the one part of smash in which Brawl exceeds Ultimate in my opinion.

Bowser's Neutral Special does SO MUCH more damage in Ultimate, it's not funny
Feels like an actual damaging move, but way too overboard.
But it's hella fun to edgeguard with and catch your opponent in neutral with and get like 30+ percent out of it

@@toluolomolaiye6433 The Koopa Klaw ability has Bowser grabbing his opponents and biting them, it was grand, but when they changed Bowser's side B ability in Super Smash Bros Brawl, I was disappointed.

2:04 the biggest crime in all of smash is that Ganondorf STILL uses the Falcondorf moves 😪
He should've got Dead Man's Volley replacing Warlock Punch at least
That way he can stand a chance without depending on the reads/opponent's mistakes in neutral
The only unique move he owned in melee was f-air. 🙁
I feel the only way this happens if someone convinced Sakurai to add Black Shadow and completely transfer Ganondorf's moveset to said 'New Comer' in the next entry.

So I'll give all the things that I can remember that were present in Melee but changed in future games.
Bowser - Fire Breath couldn't change its angle. Side special was more like a secondary grab with two throw directions. Whirling Fortress couldn't rise higher. Bowser Bomb didn't have a rising hitbox, nor a spike.
Peach - Side Special was an "explosive" attack. Turnip could possibly get you a beam sword, but that also transfered to Brawl. Personally don't see why that needed to stop.
Ice Climbers - Side special lost it's monumental recovery potential (in Ult). Down Special doesn't go both ways, leaving them open for a back attack.
Zelda - Down Special changed her to Shiek, until they were both made individual characters Up special didn't have a hitbox when returning.
Shiek - Side special changed from a semi-decent whip dangle to a wired grenade of sorts. Just like Zelda, Shiek's Down Special changed from transformation to Bouncing Fish.
Dr Mario - Side Special no longer acts as a recovery tool. Dr Punch was a multihit move, but was stronger than Super Jump Punch.
Pichu - Thunder has a Spike at the beginning with the cloud.
Falco - Reflector functioned exactly like Fox's, but sending fighters up instead of to the side. Can't jump cancel Reflector, removing the combo potential. Falco Phantasm sent him into free-fall if used in the air, and this copied over to Brawl. Fire Bird wasn't a Multihit.
Marth - Shield Breaker used the same animation as Roy's Neutral Special did. The third downward hit on Dancing Blade meteors opponents. Dancing Blade as a whole was very slow, as opposed to it now that happens quickly. Shield Breaker doesn't thrust you forward in the air, making it useless for recovery.
Young Link - Relatively the same.
Ganondorf - Warlock Punch didn't grant you super-armor, and it can't be reversed. I'm unsure if an aerial strike is stronger or not. Flame Choke wasn't a Command Grab, instead called Gerudo Dragon, and the aerial variant can't meteor. Dark Dive didn't have a hitbox at the end, making it a Condor Dive rip. Wizard's Foot restored your double jump in the air, granting Ganondorf greater survivability.
Mewtwo - hitting a confused opponent with disable would send them flying. Reflecting projectiles wouldn't make them yours, for some reason. Charging Shadow Ball would deal electric damage to enemies, but Lucario's Aura Sphere took that property.
Roy - Reverse Blazer had high base knockback, making it easy to cheese lighter characters at low to no percent. The third upward hit on Double-edge Dance doesn't meteor, and it too was unbearably slow.
Mr G&W - Fire didn't open up a parachute, making recovery hard in horizontal terms. Oil Panic didn't reflect solid projectiles, and explosions wouldn't fill it either.
Thunder still has the spike at the beginning in ultimate.
Of all the changes made, the one I'm most bummed out about is Ice Climbers' down special. It felt like having the second climber alive really elevated the utility of that move, but now in Ultimate it's not much better or different at all with the second climber.

Bowser fire is different. In his final smash, he had different final smash ball like giga bowser. Make sure smash that like button and sucribe to him. He the best.

First 2 for Roy, only 10%, 50% when slammed down.
Now Ultimate has guts. 12% Trigger damage, 60 is totally dangerous.
In my opinion, I like smash 4 better than ultimate, mainly because of some of the victory themes and screens. Also I like the Zelda character styles, the voices for fox and falco, that fact that charizard was his own character, the voice for Ike, Marth, and Roy, and the victory themes for Ness and Lucas. The only things I like about ultimate, are that there are many characters, the story mode, and the dlc

The official name to Bowser's Side Special is called Koopa Klaw. There's no origin, a Smash Original that make use of visual elements from Bowser's claws.
It also has a visual glitch when Bowser grabs Peach or Zelda.

Peach and Zelda main here, I will say my opinions about their specials:
Peach:
Toad: My favorite version in Ultimate's, since finally it's him jumping in to defend her, not her forcing him to protect her
Peach Bomber: I prefer the heart explosion version from Brawl onwards.
Peach Parasol: I like that since Brawl, Peach uses her Super Paper Mario parasol.
Vegetable: I don't like that for some reason, since Smash 4 she can't pull Beam Swords anymore. But i like that they reused the Super Mario Bros 2 sound effect.
Zelda:
Nayru's Love: No comment
Din's Fire: Even though the Ultimate version no long makes Zelda helpless when she uses it in midair, I still prefer the Brawl version for being faster and better traveling options.
Farore's Wind: The Ultimate version is the best, it's the fastest and like in Smash 4, she can very easily sweetspot the ledge.
Phantom Slash: She has another KO option and now people don't say that her only good move is Transform, and now only the Zelda mains play as her.

To this day I still don't understand why ganondorf's moveset is so similar to captain falcon's.
Don't know of this true but i heard that ganon was supposed to have a original moveset but due to time limitations they had to make him into a clone. Also since ganon was heavily requested they couldn't scrap him either.
