    One of the most Polish of Chopin's works, from the open 5ths in the beginning to the Lydian mode in the first theme. "Dudy" are called bagpipes in English. You quoted Op. 6 #4 in E-flat minor, another one of the great ones, but also underplayed. Thank you for your analysis. Beautiful. This music also makes me "high" so you are not the only one.

    "Why is Chopin writing this piece in a bad period in his life, full of sadness?" This reminds me of something Ain Rand said in an interview :(in my own words) " The challenge for the 19 century artist was to create a world how it could be or should be." What a difference with the 20th century.
