This explanation is just... wow. So eye-opening. I can usually connect with Chopin's music, but before I would have described it as other-worldly. I didn't dream that his music was telling a story that could be put into words. In fact, he's articulating his life struggle! This beautiful music actually comes the emotions he experienced in his life. By the way, what incredible genius and outside-the-box composing using the layout of the keyboard to map out the chase after his love. I really hope more people find out about your channel, I'll be letting any piano-lovers know about it; what a gem you are!
Thank you so much dear Scott! Of course these videos are subjective but are created to stimulate people's minds to think and see deeper, just like you've experienced that! Thanks for sharing! Chopin was a genius, that's why his music is so deep...
The middle part of this brings out something of me that I'm not able to explain. A unique emotion. No matter how many times I play it, every time it means something different. Really nice video, thank you so much!
So beautiful music and so beautifully explained. Isn't this Mazurka deeply and completely impregnated with "Żal"? This not-possible-to-translate concept of which Chopin makes so much use when he wants to "talk serious busines"... Ach! So beautifully written and so beautifully conveyed these emotions through musical notes...! Bravo!
Hi Greg, I have just found your channel, I have already watched many Lectures and Analysis from you. I am amazed from the very beginning, how well you analyse the pieces with deep understanding to it, emotion etc. I am from Hungary, so it won't be such a surprise to you if I say that the way we think and feel is really similar. I immediately noticed that and I am very happy to found your channel. As for many others, to me, Chopin means the world when emotions and deep feelings come into play. Greetings and hug from Hungary!!! Peter 🤗🙂. "Polak, Węgier, dwa bratanki / I do szabli, i do szklanki / Oba zuchy, oba żwawi / Niech im Pan Bóg błogosławi."
Hi!!! I love Hungarian people and musicians!! I love your sense of humor and character. Yes, we are so similar!!! Thank you so much and welcome to my musical world!!!
Greg, thank you for your lectures. Your approach to Chopin is so sincere and loving--just like Chopin himself.
Wonderful! Tempo and articulation is just perfect. Speechless.
Thanks!!!
