Hey! Just wanted to say, you can see the number of certain cards left (numbers/suits) by hovering over the deck, speed up the game in the settings, and sorting by suits can help you figure out what suit cards might be when they’re flipped upside down, cause even when you sort by suit they’re in order from highest to lowest ^^

Aw man, you had the ability to have a Straight and a Flush in one hand in the final boss - which makes a Straight Flush!
Seems like you should have moved your joker that adds mult per sell value. Having it on the far right means that +mult does not get multiplied. Like around 21:35 it was worth +13 being on the far right but probably closer to +30 in the middle
thats so annoying it happened in like 2 episodes already
Did he miss straight flush potential on the boss? He had to play the 5♠️. But if he played the 7♠️8♠️9♦️10♠️He would have had a straight with those and a flush with the 4 spades.
31:38 there are 9 spades, it tells ya in the lower left corner to save you counting all the crushed together cards

I can't wait till the full game hits, having a ton of weird decks and jokers is what I need and that is what it has.

here's some cool information related to the interaction of four fingers and straight flushes:
at 29:07 with four fingers you can actually play a straight flush,
Playing 10♠9♦8♠7♠5♠is considered a straight flush (with four fingers) as the 10, 8, 7, and 5 make up the flush, and the 10, 9, 8, and 7 make up the straight, making it a straight flush (it is very weird indeed but it's very useful to know)
at 29:46, playing Q♠10♠9♣8♠7♠would be considered a straight flush as well

I've been playing a lot and you seem like someone who might be able to answer the question. If you had the full house joker and the 2 pair joker would they both trigger from a full house?
I've never won with a direct full house build and I only have 3 loses to this demo all from testing things like that, willing to ask before giving a 4th win to the dealer. I even pulled a high card build out of my ass using a lot of plutos
@@heruhcanedeanIf the joker says "contains" then it would count, but if the joker says "for each two pairs you played" or something it wont.
@@heruhcanedean Depends on what the two pair joker does.
If the joker uses the word "contains" as in "contains a Two Pair", then it counts, as a Full House contains a Two Pair in it. (Example: Spare Trousers, in the current Demo)
On the other hand, if the joker uses the word "is" as in "is a Two Pair", then it won't count, as a Full House is not a Two Pair. (Example: To Do List, from the September Demo)

I knew the title wouldnt fulfill its promise the first time he skipped an arcana pack in the shop. You needed way more tarot cards to change suits, remove cards, and dupe cards. Oh well
the RNG straight for 41k points is funny as hell
I know you probably are sick of hearing it; but make sure you put any jokers with a red multiplyer effect at the rightmost position - these will *multiply your multiplier* so if your jokers add up to 20 mult, and it hits a 2X red multi joker, it will make it 40 multi - but if you have it at the far left it will be wasted and multiply your lack of a multiplier.

i love how you said 'ah we cant play the straight' completely forgetting you have 4 fingers, allowing for a straight to be made with 4 cards
worst part: that straight wouldve been a straight flush, since you also had 4 cards of the same suit
I got the demo because of your videos and I got my first win last night. The pair of trousers joker is insane.
I had a game yesterday where I got those, then the spectral pack that duplicates a joker destroying the rest, I double had double pants at like 50 on each at the end
Been testing it out & it seems flush is probably the most consistent way to beat the demo, can't wait for the full release
It's been straights for me. The card that allows skipping numbers in straights (Shortcut), along with the one that gives 4 mult for ace, 2, 3, 5 and 8 (Fibonacci). and the one that makes the low cards hit again (Hack). That build was fun : 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 is a straight and hits so many mults. Four Fingers actually doesn't help that deck build surprisingly.
Edit : Forgot to add the card name of shortcut, also noticed the flavor text of the card pretty much points out this deck build.
Adding to it again : Shortcut lets A,Q,10,8,6 count as a straight I'm pretty sure. Game winning like the Pyramid boss drop in Slay the Spire
beat a run yesterday with a two pair build, any two pair was 12k+ chips

Also you can up the game speed in the settings so the Animations are a bit quicker. I think it's rallye pleasing if u put it on 2x speed or more, maybe you can try it in the next Video and see how you and the community like it.

I strongly dislike the recent surge in games featuring pixelated graphics. To me, it seems as though the game developers are unwilling to invest in more sophisticated graphic design. I began gaming at a time when pixel graphics were the best available, so these games give me the impression of playing something from four decades ago.
There’s high quality pixel graphics and then low quality pixel graphics. Balatro is an absolutely gorgeous game

Considering orders of operation, the red multiplier jokers (the ones that multiply the multiplier rather than adding to it) actually would give you more value if placed after the swashbucker joker. They may not contribute to his effect anymore, but they effectively multiply it.
I’m not sure the value would be as high. I did that for a reason because the extra multiplier is what makes the swashbuckler useful, otherwise it wasn’t adding as much

Yeah, in the end it was about 30 less multiplier having it the way I had it. Which is significant, but it also didn’t matter at all because we blew it away and didn’t even have that joker when we lost the run. So it’s a bit irrelevant here.
Balatro all boils down to how much you want to crunch numbers and run the math of everything which is fine, but I don’t care enough to do that
