Jeff Langton's scene is one of the most memorable in the movie!. When i was younger, me and my brother used to toy fight and whenever one of us hit the floor. The frase "get up sonny" was used quite alot hehe. One of my top 3 movies ever!.
Jeff seems like a good guy and I like how open he was about his own Ego battles going on, crying etc. It's a hard life trying to make it, or when I snuck into a premier of Couples Retreat and the 2 reels full of lines I did that have Vince Vaughn cracking up were cut from the add on scene at the end w/ his dad and I was devastated.
Jeffs a freaking GOAT just an all around humble guy, very down to earth tough guy. I hope and pray he recovers from his surgery 🙏 Such a cool all around versatile guy!
Fantastic stuff. Thanks for this. I met Jeff in Calgary Alberta while shooting my own boxing film. Being the Van Damme fan I am I recognized him immediately when he just happened to walk into the gym while I was in the ring filming...I nearly jumped through the god damn ceiling. We stayed in touch for a few years but I haven't reached out for awhile. Glad you are doing well Jeff! You were always a very kind and supportive friend. Great job David for preserving all these stories.

Great interview Viking !! Jeff Langton talks from the heart great insight on how he got into Hollywood movies !! Jeff Langton $7000 for Lionheart in 1990 wow for 5 min screen time !! I read that Van Damme got paid $75,000 for Lionheart 1990 !!
Definitely.. I met Billy in 2001 in Kosovo. He came out to the army camp (camp bondsteel) to do some Tae bo etc with the troops I was teaching combatives to the troops and he came over and was interested and very chatty wanted to chat to me regarding the combatives and that I was a British soldier on an American camp etc.. Very nice guy... I was a real fan.. Loved him in king of the kickboxers.

Mr. Langton seems to be a down to earth and humble guy. He speaks nicely about his friend Mr. Dux. This man seems to be a stand-up kind of guy. Speaks honestly and tells of his brash and vulnerable moments. Seems to keep it real.
The scenes with the triple shot of the same strike are pure Frank Dux. People hate on Frank Dux, and rightfully so in some regards, but you have to admit his choreography and fight scene direction made these legendary movies great.
The double and triple shots were all Van Damme. He was in the editing room with me for those fight scenes, and I am not shy about giving credit where credit is due.
Great stuff, love what you do. By the way, you are a great interviewer, you are always polite, professional, and you let people talk. You are the best !
Hi Jeff, this was an awesome interview you need to do more of these interviews to help you put your thoughts together for your upcoming book. The book has to get made and out there. I wish I was back on the radio I'd have you on my show many times to tell the different parts of your life story. I've always respected our friendship and your support of my film FORGOTTEN HEROES during those years we ran together in the 90s. It was great seeing you on Viking's show. You need to do more of these incredible stories. God Bless my Brother!
Bro, I have to say that I really like Jeff Langton. His interview is very authentic and he has a ton of charisma. I pray that he makes a full recovery from heart surgery. Sending him great energy. Viking, I really hope to see more of Jeff and his recollection of Master Frank sounds free from all the claims made against him by Sheldon Lettich. Master Frank sounded very instrumental in the fight choreography unlike what others have claimed; Proving Master Frank deserves credit where credit is due for Lionheart. I hope to be able to meet Jeff Langton one day, and I hope you are able to workout with him to get him on his feet from surgery. Let Jeff know that the fans and brotherhood are behind his recovery and comeback. What an amazing interview, I’m about to watch it again! This guys a star! 🇺🇸🙌🏻
I have never denigrated Frank Dux's contributions to "Lionheart." That's why I got him hired on "Only The Strong" afterwards. But on that one he was a total let-down and an embarrassment, which is why I had to terminate him and send him home early. Frank, however, does not deserve nearly as much credit as he claims for the fight choreography, because much of that was done with Michel Qissi as a co-choreographer, and a lot of credit should go to Jean-Claude as well.
@@sheldonlettich2728 Mr. Sheldon, Master Frank say’s that he was not let go, or fired. JCVD real name is Jean Claude Van Varenburgh. Back in 92 I was living in Chatsworth, CA. Just a few blocks from where JCVD lived with Gladys. At that time, my girlfriend's mother was JCVD accountant. JCVD was my idol growing up. I memorized his movies and fight scenes and went on to study Martial Arts. I find out from my my girlfriend's mom that he lived on Owensmouth avenue in Chatsworth. I lived on Canoga avenue just a few blocks away. So one day I get this idea to put an autograph request in his mailbox complete with a self addressed stamped envelope. Right after I put it in the mailbox, the garage door starts opening up. I am thinking holy cow I'm about to meet JCVD! It turns out it was Gladys. She sees me standing out on the road and she says hi. I asked for JCVD and said that I was a huge fan and that he ( his movies) had helped me out as I went through bullying in school. Also that he inspired me to learn martial arts. She was very sweet and said" oh I'm sorry he's in Arizona right now filming...then I interjected and said " nowhere to run" she said yes wow you're a big fan! He loves his fans. I told her that I put an autograph request in the mailbox and she said that she would see to it that he got it when he got back from filming. lot of good info on the behind the scenes of Lionheart. it dont sound like Jeff had any real problems with Van Damme before the film like Frank Dux talked about in a past interview.
Great insight. Jeff Lang is an interesting guy. When he was talking about Frank Dux I was thinking about his secret spy missions and underground fights. 🤣🤣🤣 I understand Jeff many martial artists and champions refuse to beaten by lead actor if they believe they are stronger than him. They have to learn to become actors. We all experience that when we do movies with fighters who don't have acting experience. It can become tough during fight scene.
Another killer interview, it's always a pleasure to see Jeff on the show! That name...it was Frank Cujo. JC was talked out of using that stage name because of the negative association with the name Cujo.

Funny that he was so broken up about losing a fight in a movie. I guess when you're young you have a different perspective, especially someone like him who was a legit tough guy in real life. I didn't think of Jeff's scene as getting his butt kicked in Lionheart. I was always kind of disappointed that the two characters didn't fight because Jeff's character was such a bad dude compared to Van Damme's character. It felt more like Van Damme's character outsmarted him with that cheap shot. It's tough when guys don't want to look weak or get beaten in a movie. There's clever ways of losing without looking weak and I think that scene was one of those moments. Wrestling is a perfect example. I think if Jeff had to agree to take a beating like Tong Po in the end of Kickboxer, then that's getting your butt kicked. The actor who played that character though was Van Damme's friend.
Did Van Damme ever give out his 80s workout plan I like using cables aswell would be good to know.his workout.I can imagine alot of stretch and legs thrown in there.
You have to do a video on the history of PM Entertainment they were the Big direct to video Action movie company in the 90’s I use to watch their movies all the time an still do..
That exact move that Johnny Cage do was taken from Bloodsport. Remember when he fights the Sumo guy and he does the split and punch him down there? (Ouch!)🥊👍

You have to do a video on the history of PM Entertainment they were the Big direct to video Action movie company in the 90’s I use to watch their movies all the time an still do..
Jeff Langton seems like a pretty cool guy
Totally rad man
Did that nut shot, in combination with JCVD's epic splits, evolve into Jonny Cage's special move in mortal Kombat?
That exact move that Johnny Cage do was taken from Bloodsport. Remember when he fights the Sumo guy and he does the split and punch him down there? (Ouch!)🥊👍
Man I wish I could train under this guy.
Oh,final impact.Michael Worth.good movie
On TH-cam u can watch the directors cut of,lionheart I believe still
Great interview, seems like a very cool guy. It’s good to hear him speak so highly of JC. You have a lot of these jealous assholes out there like Steven Stegal who talk a lot of BS but most people who knew JC say he’s a very nice guy.
I enjoy video
Better and better!!!!
