I grew up on three people Jean Claude Vaddam, Stallone and Arnold not so much on Steven Segal did not known about him till I was in my early twenties. Later I learned about other action stars like Billy Blanks, Cynthia Rothrock, etc and went on to buy their DVDs. I remember watching Vaddam movies and loving it, learning to do the splits, the split kick he does and learning it all in my bedroom, lifting weighs, sit-ups, he inspired me to take up martial artist. I also remember watching Arnold and Stallone films and also loving those guys. I use to run around with dry ketchup on my face and pretend that it was blood, I also use to pretend to big one the big three loved doing Vaddam hurt stance, you know when he holds one of his ribs and then limping forward with all his muscle showing.
I respect the fact that he acknowledged his brother, and his mother. This dude is stand up! He even paid respect to Brandon Lee, and his father, and how they influenced his father. Mad respect to this guy! And his father is one of my heroes too.
What a down to earth level headed gentleman. I can remember being envious of him as a kid when I saw him in the Quest . 🤣 Seems like a great guy to be fair.
It's so cool that Brandon Lee is mentioned in this video today! I say that because yesterday was the 29th anniversary of his death. He really was a talented performer and a very intriguing person RIP.
Very respectful and real person is Kris....I remember watching the reality show on Van Damme....and immediately recognized the well mannered nature of JCVD's kids.... Seems like great people all around
I know the film is in post production, but how cool would it have been to see Van Damme as the final boss in John Wick 4! He would have worked well as the “Elder” character in John Wick 3 too
*Patiently awaiting your Van Damme interview* BTW, the son, Kris, seems mad cool and humble. A bit surprising considering his who his dad is to the rest of the world.
You got him now all you have to do is kindly ask him to set you up for an interview with his dad for your channel and I'm 101% positive that he will say yes and ask his dad and JCVD will definitely say yes too 👍
Bro, you just KNOW it’s a matter of time before Van Damme gets on the show. I stumbled across this channel a few months ago and I’m obsessed with it! 😆
Thanks for the excellent inspiring videos. Your channel is an essential reference to the world of martial arts. More progress and prosperity in your videos.
An incredibly down to Earth guy, well done on such an amazing interview. You really getting very close to getting to the man himself. Given the sad tragic news with Bruce Willis, Van Damme is one of the last of the great 80’s and 90’s action stars.
Man!!, It was great to have Kris Van Damme share his knowledge and stories!!. Thank you Kris for giving your time!!. Awesome @Viking Samurai, only a matter of time for the main event!!!.
Love this one . Getting JCVD's son on the show is fantastic. Absolute gold getting his perspective on what it's like to grow up a son of living legendary martial arts action star .
Great video Viking. Nice interview and very good insight and point of view from a son of Superstar Celebrity.. Kris really won the genetics lottery. Seems like a very intellectual dude, and creative fella (especially the way he talks about films). Looking forward to his future films.
Viking thanks for sharing this interview with Kris. You asked the questions that I have been curious about. He seems like a well spoken, humble down to earth guy.
Kris is awesome! Very down to earth and centre minded (head on his shoulders) guy which is rare to see in kids who have very famous parents. Now we need the father! haha
First and foremost I'm happy for you man, you deserve it! I enjoy watching your content as always but now we get into some really interesting stuff. Jean Claude Van Damme inspired me since I was 6 six years old and getting more behind the scenes material from his own son is just amazing. Keep it up 💪😎
I am so looking forward to this video. To know Kris Van Damme better. He is a awesome , so down to earth guy in the interview. I am a huge fan of Van Dammes. He sounds like his famous dad JC
Such a respectful man is Kris he is his own person but respects and honours his father's legacy such a great interview would love to meet and work with him one day true gent.
I am happy you cover these moments and times. The way action was filmed in the 80s and especially the 90s was hard hitting. Directors really collaborated with the stunt team to bring realistic looking fights. In my opinion Van Dam is still one of the best to do action scenes ever.
It was a very special time for movies. I'm happy to be a small part of this ecosystem by helping show appreciation and awareness by getting these stories and info out there.
What a great guy he is for doing this interview. Good to see the son of such an iconic celebrity still seems humble and makes time for the fans in something like this. Very cool.
We’ll done VS!! You’re doing a great job building this channel and are getting better with each interview hopefully building to the ultimate interview we all want to see you do 🤞
Thank you for this interview. I concur with others. Kris seems to be a very down-to-Earth and genuine person. He sees the pitfalls and BS in Hollywood and wants to do things the right way. His relationship with his father is pretty touching too. Kris recognizing that the house he lived in was because of his father reflects Kris' humility and Jean-Claude's work ethic. Heart-warming to hear how Jean-Claude saved all of those faxes. It was also cool how you and Kris related to one another through your fathers. Great stuff. Looking forward to the next episode!
This is so great! As much as I love JC, I'm looking forward to getting to know Kris. He's always seemed like a cool guy and getting to see in-depth interviews with him is going to be awesome!
Finaly I had the time to see this video! Awesome job Viking! Great interview, can't wait to see the rest. PS: Closer and Closer to the big VAN DAMME! Keep on going!
Look at u. Getting closer and closer to a real VanDamme interview. DREAMS DO COME TRUE...My sisters friend dated an actor from DEATH WARRANT. He said VanDamme was really likeable...
This is just legendary, I keep thinking about things I would want to ask but obviously You're asking the right questions because I'm not seeing this type of things on any other channel!
Great video! Absolutely enjoyed hearing from JCVD's son. Being a huge fan of JCVD myself and watching your channel it's inspired me to start training again at the age of 47 after dealing with some injuries. Keep up the great work 👍
Well done Viking Samurai, for bringing us such an insightful interview, with Kris Van Damme! He is definitely a young, humble and articulate young man. Looking forward to others such as this and hopefully one with Jean Claude Van Damme himself.
Brilliant. Cant wait to hear more from Kris. Its a pleasure to actually hear from him. Watched his skits with his family on You Tube and for the short amount of movies he has been in I do believe he is can be a accomplished actor in his own right if he decided to pursue it.
Thanks for this Viking You are like the friend i never met but share such love for this legends feels like i know you for life. Again Thank you for all this content. Cant wait for part 2 Next stop, the Legend himself JCVD
Gotta say this interview made my heart smile for you. I've enjoyed watching the awesome growth of this channel & all things JCVD. So happy for you man. Its gotta be a when, not if, that the big man himself sits down with you. No way you didn't ask Kris 😄🙏
I feel the same about VanDam that I love the fact that he's a great actor action star I love all his movies but the fact that I love his movies is mostly because of the way he would do it the way he acted the way he carried himself the way he would do his martial art moves he always look like such a cool guy such as Brandon Lee Bruce Lee truck Norris and these guys at 8 including Sylvester Stallone I would say that all of them and Van Damme and now that I see his son on your video I can say the same thing about Kris Van Damme that they all seem like honestly really nice guys that just so happen to be able to kick ass they genuinely seem like they're really super friendly and that they generally care about their family and friends and I truly love and respect that about Van Damme and his family that is just to me like really awesome cuz there's other martial art actors out there that are not very nice they're not very friendly and Fighters that are the same is nice to see somebody that can kick ass but also is really super sweet super nice and I've always respected him because of that as well
Great job mate, I like Kris very relatable. I knew about the quest but damn Uni soldiers. I really liked the subtle nuisance that JCVD did in lionheart, about his kids sending story's and pics and incorporated them in the movie. Much respect....keep up the good work can't wait for part 2 👍
This was amazing Viking!!!! Was great to see Kris, have always thought of him as being naturally skilled and talented - Hoping to see something like a LIONHEART from him.

this deserves more views. Kris made a good career for himself and did not ride the coattails of his dad.
JCVD was my idol as a child. After watching bloodsport, I started karate the next day.
I grew up on three people Jean Claude Vaddam, Stallone and Arnold not so much on Steven Segal did not known about him till I was in my early twenties. Later I learned about other action stars like Billy Blanks, Cynthia Rothrock, etc and went on to buy their DVDs.

So crazy to see Kris as a kid in The Quest and now as a full grown adult. Love to see Bianca on here as well.
I respect the fact that he acknowledged his brother, and his mother. This dude is stand up! He even paid respect to Brandon Lee, and his father, and how they influenced his father. Mad respect to this guy! And his father is one of my heroes too.
Seeing photos of him and his father doing side kicks jcvd looks like a proud dad and raised a genuine smart guy
What a down to earth level headed gentleman. I can remember being envious of him as a kid when I saw him in the Quest . 🤣
Seems like a great guy to be fair.
It's so cool that Brandon Lee is mentioned in this video today! I say that because yesterday was the 29th anniversary of his death. He really was a talented performer and a very intriguing person RIP.
Really good to hear from Kris. He's down to earth. Seems like a genuine guy that has his priorities in the right place.
I've always wanted him to come out of nowhere with a big action film and surprise everybody...I still think it's not to late.
Congrats man! You are getting closer and closer to the biggest interview with JC himself, can't wait!!
He's so very humble I really like that about him.
JCVD was my favorite action hero when I was a kid in the 80's .
Oh My God! That Rushmore mountain with Stallone, Arnold, Seagal and JCVD's faces had me ROFL! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
A friend of mine met Kris once, he said Kris was polite, kind et a very good person !
So, it's a pleasure to hear him ! At last !!!
Wow! Kris! I hoped he would come on the show! Very cool guy and very honest. Love the channel.
Very respectful and real person is Kris....I remember watching the reality show on Van Damme....and immediately recognized the well mannered nature of JCVD's kids....
Seems like great people all around
VS has the son, all that's left is the father, and the circle will be complete. This is legendary......
His daughter...❤
Glad to hear about this upcoming project we have been waiting for! 2022 it is!
I know the film is in post production, but how cool would it have been to see Van Damme as the final boss in John Wick 4!
