    Worked, Thank you!
    EXTRA TIP : Use a soft cleaning brush or tooth brush. My couch is old and had deep creases and the filth would not get out of them with a sock, using a brush got right in the tony wrinkels and couch was 100% perfectly clean.

    It's still dirty because you didn't use a brush with bristles to get into those small crevices in the leather.

    What kind of conditioner are you using? Is it a special leather conditioner?

    • @BLnet

      The leather conditioner is quite expensive. I used normal conditioner for hairs, any kind is ok.

    This looks like way too much trouble and the petroleum jelly. ???? When will you be able to sit in the chair w/out worrying about greasy on your clothes? I think I just changed my mind about that leather recliner.

      There is literally only so much you can scrub before removing the leather itself. It's a cleaning tutorial, not a leather patch replacement video.

    I mix the bi carb with vinegar

    • @Jones4Leather
      @Jones4Leather 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am a leather care professional. Vinegar will age leather faster by breaking the collagen fibers apart. Leather is 98+% collagen. The water-resistant color coating is embedded in the surface fiberß. When they break, color comes off in little peppery bits. Broken fibers are also the cause of cracking, crepe texture of wrinkles like elderly skin, and tearing. Use a leather cleaner made - excellent product from small company ADV Leather. They also make conditioner and a leather protector that adds a layer of protective resins, which pH sically fortifies the clear top coat already on the leather.

    • @Jones4Leather

      Use products made for upholstery leather (not shoes, saddles, etc). Buy a leather cleaner, which will be a concentrated surfactant to release soil. Let's it sit 10 min and remove with a damp terry cloth or exfoliating glove to pull the soil out off the grain. When dry, apply a leather moisturizer/ conditioner. This restores shine and nourishes the leather fibers just under the surface that are holding the color coating on. The color is porous, has zillions of micropores that allow liquids to pass through when wiped across.

    Traduza para o portugues por favor

    • @SS-jo4xv

      I am a leather repair and care pro. Actually, a thick sock, old t-shirt, terry cloth or exfoliating glove work well. A brush must be very soft to not cause excess wear of the clear protective top coat. If removed, the color will wear faster ad stain more easily. The cleaner should be doing the lifting the dirt, not the scrubbing. Baking soda is also an abrasive, so not recommended. The bigger problem is the extremely high pH of the baking soda will speed up aging and color loss by damaging the leather fibers under the color coating. The color resists water but has millions of micro-pores that allow all liquids to pass through and be absorbed by the leather. Water beads up because it has surface tension.
