- Rear-wheel-drive, straight four, and a big ol' wheelbase make a real classic driving experience. We take to the Yorkshire B-roads to find out how the 2-litre Omega handles.
We cover the performance, handling, braking, as well as the design, interior details and anything else that appeals to the driving enthusiast. Why not watch another? • Car Reviews
From full-on road tests of driver's cars to immersive tours of where to drive them. Espuela Grande is a place for proper driving, great scenery, and (hopefully) interesting details.

Handsome old things, Omegas. Such a shame there's so few left
Imagine they were all driven into the high-mileage stratosphere...
In NI they suffer from the "diff shed tax" : c
I have three 3.2 Omegas, remapped, brake upgrades and lowered suspension.....nothing else needed to make them a pleasure to own and drive.
had an r reg 2.5 v6 it rocked
That's the one to have apparently
Your comments about being the base model and a big car does remind me of, during the 1980s at least, my suspicion that some car buys would rather buy a base model large car rather than a higher spec'd smaller model. I remember checking out all the new cars in my street come 1 August 😁
Loved this clip, thanks for posting. I know that road well and its an amazing drive! I have an Omega 3.2 elite which is still going strong.
Nice. This is my old car! Good to see her in a video. Cheers
One of the most underrated saloons of the past 30 years. Loved the old Carlton CDX too. So capable point to point. This or an E39 are my favourite 90s barges
had one of these pimp wagons when I was 20 good car
One of Vauxhall’s best models, I had 3 ,and all were great ,had my last one a 2.2 dti CDX. for over 9 years
your personality is very amusing, subbed
I own one since 2010, a 2.6 v6 and i will never sell it. Very smooth cruiser.
Dear Lord, the heart of a mouse trapped in an elephant.
Opel Omega and Nisaan Maxima and Rover 75 vs please
Very nice review are you making any more soon?
Thanks! There is a special coming for Christmas, but we're taking a break for now...
Take my 3.2 elite out for a spin and do a running commentary on it
This car is currently on Ebay
How tall are you ? ..... The car looks massive and you look so tiny in the drivers seat
About 6ft. The seats are massive, in the rear too.
Bhp is 134 in the X20XEV
