Thanks Keith for the request and as always Don kudos to you for your reaction. This song has a lot of truth to it……. Just sayin…… sometimes a person has to do what they have to do.
Hi Don, I remember when this first came out. Your reaction was pretty much spot on - as you said - as a human being. Loved Charley Pride and his voice. Thank you for this reaction! Now I have to find your reaction to Does My Ring Hurt Your Finger. Been subbed for about 4 mos, so I'm a little late. Also wanted to let you know that in the 60's it was a big deal when it was found out that Charley Pride was a "colored man." I know Chet Atkins got him his first record deal and "eventually" he was accepted. I remember seeing him on TV the first time, but can't remember who's show he was on (senior moment.) Love and Miss Charley! Thank you for this reaction and rating! Would love for you to react to "All I Have to Offer You is Me." Thanks again!
I understand understand being late to the channel. I've also have only been a sub. for a couple of months but I have managed to check out his reactions to Charley Pride.the has several more including a couple that were new to me.
Hi Don, another good one. Charley has always been one of my favorites, a!though this song was first recorded by David Houston (who's biggest hit was "Almost Persuade") in 1964 and was co-written by Mel Tillis. Charley's version released in the early 70's? was a bigger radio hit. My favorite Charley Pride song is " All I Have to Offer You is Me", which for years I thought was titled Crystal Chandeliers. Thanks Don for the reaction and thanks Keith for the request.
That’s the first Charlie a pride song I remember hearing as a little boy. Didn’t understand the meaning back then. Don if you haven’t already, try, “Just Between You and Me.” My favorite Charlie Pride song.
You should react to some more charley pride. Honestly one of the greatest country singers to have ever lived. I recommend “Mississippi Cotton Pickin’ Delta Town” which is a simple song but has some great lyrics that will paint a vivid scene in your head.
This is very similar in content to Poerter Wagoner's 'Cold Hard Facts of Life. I'm waiting for you to check out one of my favorite Charley Pride songs, 'I'll Be Leaving Alone.
You should listen to some Charlie Pride that's not on everybody's list. The Spell of the Freight Train. I'm Not The Boy I Used To Be. Mama Don't Cry For Me. Take Me Home. Did you notice in this song, he went and checked in HER bedroom? So none of this should have completely surprised him.

One of the best reactions I've ever seen!!! When you get a chance, check this out. It was Charley's first top ten hit, and it sounds great to this day. But hey you think about how long ago this was - it was on the LAWRENCE WELK SHOW. The great thing about it is having Lloyd Green there, knowing how important he was to the sound of the record. Just Between You and Me - th-cam.com/video/nJQdR0ciwYg/w-d-xo.html
Does not hit you quite as strong when you grew up with you and maybe never realized the full extent of the song it becomes second nature but yeah wow if just sit and listen to the lyrics yes it hits you a bit different .Another good Charlie pride song thanks

Youre very welcome Clifford Barnes,Cheers,Keith Kimmey
You can't go wrong with Charley Pride.
I love this song. The “snake” is the metaphor for sin. She’s a snake for cheating, he’s a snake for getting his revenge.

I strongly suggest you listen to " In the Middle of Nowhere" by Charley... it usually affects anyone who hears it..
Hi Don; could you do "the cold hard facts of life"
I think it was performed by Porter Waggoner. Thank you
Kind of has a stalker vibe to it.
