- Need a new flagship Android phone? Here are 10 of the hottest, highest rated, most recommended high end phones of 2016. With so many awesome devices released this year, we couldn't fit every excellent device in this list of only the best 10. Some excellent Android phones just missed out on being included in this list, smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Mi 5s, Axon 7, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Honor 8, and LeEco Le Pro 3 to name just a few.

With so many awesome high end phones released in 2016 it was hard to choose a top 10. Many phones could have easily been on the list. But we chose the 10 highest rated, most recommended phones. Mi Mix hasn't had reviews yet but it made it to the list purely because of the high demand for it. Do you think we got the list right? Some excellent phones that could've been included are: Axon 7, Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Mi5s/Plus, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Honor 8. What phone would you include in your Top 10 and why?

The Pixel and S7 should have been switched and I think the Mi Mix deserves a higher spot, like number 4

I love the video but I really think you should have included the axon 7. Should have at least been in the top 5 for its audio.

the Mate 9 i think now has to considered top 2 or even 1 of the year, I think what hindered Huawei was their in house EMUI, i think EMUI 5 with nougat and the Kirin 960 and leica camera set up and a U.S release Phone of the Year
Pixel is a lot better then the s7. Ive owned both, Iphone 7 is the worst of the 3, Pixel has the sharpest camera and most unique features. The fact that a Pixel can charge another phone is pretty incredible. I wish it was water proof though, only downside.

MEHUL GUPTA you wouldn't know unless youve had them, pixel has the best software and the best interface. look at Marcus browlees review where he says it's the best phone you can buy.
LC the galaxy 7 can charge another device if you used the adapter that comes with it

I was thinking, if I'm going to get the Xiaomi mi mix, or the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
hard decision, do you go for a proven device or the newer hot device - tough choice to make. Just remember the Mi Mix is a large phone with a 6.4" screen (Mi Mix is 82mm wide, as a comparison the iPhone 7 Plus is 78mm wide)
HTC 10 or Oneplus 3t?
I've had the HTC one x+ for the past 3 years so I am a big fan of HTCs.
That being said I have checked reviews on both but haven't really seen the customisation of the phones in detail. I know you can pretty much customise everything on the 3t (layout, shortcuts etc), but can the same be done on the HTC? If so which one has better customisation

Massimo Crimi No he said Pixel was the best android phone on the market, it by far, has the strongest software, I don;t see why you care so much about arguing, i've had all 3, my favorite is the Pixel and it's now what I personally own. You can;t argue with me until you've owned all 3, simple as that.

have you tried Android on a friends phone? The reason I ask this is because I know several people who have tried going from iOS to Android and found it confusing to use, and eventually went back to an iPhone. iOS is a very simple and easy to use OS, Android is more complex but because of that complexity it offers far more customisation. If you know what you are getting yourself into, and you want to go Android then the phone I'd recommend to an Apple user right now is the Galaxy S7. It is a true flagship, has a great camera, and because of it's huge popularity there are a large number of accessories you can get for it (which is something I've noticed many Apple fans like). And welcome to the other side :p

The LG G5 is mad underrated on here. Has a better camera than the S7 and Pixel, removable battery and micro sd and has mods

oneplus 3 is in the list @ #3. Z2 is a good phone, but there have been lots of great phones released this year, and there are only ten spots in a top 10 list so invariably there will be some excellent devices that won't make the list. Peace

You left out the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe Special Edition. It's easily top 3..
I can only fit 10 in a top 10 list, so unfortunately there were a LOT of awesome phones that were left out. ZF3 DEluxe is definately one awesome device, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is another example. There we so many awesome phones released in 2016, it was really hard making a list with only 10 :)

Yes Zenfone 3 Deluxe could've been on the list, there are so many great devices that just missed out. Note 7 has been discontinued.

awesome phone and had it existed at the time this video was created it would've been included. The Mate 9 was actually announced just the day after this video was created.

S7 is a crap compared to other flagship phones like Google Pixel
And i dont undarstand why XZ is on last position, its really great phone with its design and power
On release the XZ was $700 USD and lacked a finger print reader on the US model, and offers only minor improvements over the previous generation - in fact it is still rocking the same size and resolution screen as the Xperia Z2 release 3 years ago. It is still a good phone with great battery life and waterproofing. Remember there are hundreds if not thousands of phones released each year, top 10 is still a strong placing. Peace.

Read the description, it wasn't missed. There are lots and lots of awesome phones but not all of them can fit in a top 10 list. Eg if I took out the Sony to put the Axon in, there would be a lot of people complaining that Sony should be listed etc. To many great phones and not enough spaces to list them all :)
Mi note 2 or Mi mix is much much better than one plus 3 in China ...
