have had the Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra since the first week it was released and have to say the phone is great except for the phone getting hot after alot of use and also the camera started experiencing major focus issues after the first update from Asus. if you do get the phone don't update the software, it has also frozen a few times while in my pocket and become really hot.
I'm in Italy and i ordered Note 8 from china, but i heard about US official relase somewhere... but i think you can order it from china too, i had no problem with shipping. Maibe try with Aliexpress :)

Android world is so rich, however I can't find any true phablet (at least 5.7 inches) supporting both wireless charging and b20 besides S7 edge plus. The design of which I kinda hate. The others had defects, but were backed by eBay's guarantee. However I did get an Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact from Sri Lanka, in new condition without an issue. Swappa.com is much better if you can find what you want.
nah ZTE blade x max is a great phone to have especially if u have big hands or big thumbs and it's only for 150 dollars not just for the phone but everything be sure to get unlimited data from the right place though
You can't get LTE/4G speeds on any imported phone in the USA unless it specifically has that capability, which nearly all don't. So unless you're in a country that has the bands supported by these phones, your speeds are very limited. Too bad. :(
I have the Honor Note 8 and i love it. For this price (i payed around 350€ with shipping and, i don't know the english word for "Zoll" because i life in Austria) You get a much bigger Huawei P9 and that is awsome. :) Sry for bad english.... (And it has a 6.6 inch 2k display and not a 6.0 one)

The Note 8 has several advantages, it has a quad HD screen (ZF3 Ultra and P8Max only have full HD screens), and the fastest processor. All three are really good devices.
the problem is that the biggest phones are international, and not compatible with USA LTE bands...so you can forget about verizon, sprint, and AT&T and tmobile will be slow

I have the zmax pro and after almost a year of usage it starts to wear down and discharge very quick and lags but it was a great phone when I got it, camera quality is kind bad tho not that many options
Huawei Mediapad M2 (8.0, 8") doesn't get LTE in USA but it was a great phone/tablet and gets 5MBps, good enough for TH-cam and other things. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact 8" makes calls also but I found out only has speakerphone mode :/
The main problem with most of these phones is that they do not get 4G/LTE in the United States. If Hauwei, Asus and Xiaomi want to increase their market share, why are the cutting out these bands? It makes no sense at all.

I have a ZTE Z-Max Pro And I can tell you, - NO it does NOT instantly open apps. The more you use the phone the slower it gets. It is NOT good for multitasking as people have to wait from 2 minutes to actually 5 minutes for an app to open, because the phone is thinking way to long to figure out that you want to open or switch an app. The ZTE Zmax Pro desperately needs a 6-GB RAM version with 64 and 128 GB internal memory. currently the phone is only 2-GB of RAM and its not enough in this day in age of APPS being released today. Its a great phone, just dont expect it to be fast and the more you use it the slower and slower it gets. Also dont forget the MASSIVE amount of BLOATWARE it has from Metro-PCS. MASSIVE amount of bloatware that you can NOT uninstall. - It also does NOT have NFC and other small features as expected in flagship phones of 2016. Just be aware of that. For those that are not going to install lots of apps or not use it heavily then this phone is for you, if you cant afford big price tagged flagship phones. - This phone is $130 which includes 30 days of Metro PCS service. after 3 months of service you can request to have your phone unlocked. But as I mentioned before dont expect flagship outcomes from this phone as it can not handle multitasking, and the phone does get slower as you use it. other than that, its a great affordable phone for parents who want to give their young ones a decent phone for their kids. .
Robert Foster : i had my zte max pro for last 6 months with 125 apps , which includes video editing, photo editing, games...etc. it's a great phone for $99. Its multitasking capabilities are amazing. so far i didn't have any problems with this phone. try to use ACE cleaner and do some tweaking in developer options, transition and window animations.....you will see a greater improvement. thanks.

Did you get the Snapdragon 650 or 652 version? Both will be fine and will give you decent gaming performance but the 652 has the better GPU and will be better suited for gaming.
it is a tablet that can make phone calls, but it is still primarily a tablet. Google search "Tab S" and you will see it always referred to as a tablet, never as a phone.

I purchased a Zenphone 2 Deluxe special edition and after 3 months of usage, the battery completely died and can no longer hold a charge. I called ASUS about it, to RMA for them to replace the battery, they told me they had to replace the phone completely with a refurbished one. They will give me a FedEx slip to send them the device, but to get it back, will cost me $60 So they want me to pay $60 to get my phone back after they change my brand new phone into a refurbished used phone and then charge me $60 to send me a used piece of crap back. So basically I paid $600.00 for a phone to then get a refurbished phone with other peoples phone problems. My phone is only 3 months old brand spanking new, and now they want to give me a refurbished phone in replacement for the $600 dollars I gave them for a new phone. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from ASUS. its unreliable devices and when RMAing products they want to give you a refurbished product after you spent lots of money on a brand new device. ASUS has permanently lost a customer. I dont like their tactics on how they treat their paying customers.

I have huawei honor which is a 7" screen. Compatible with US carrier AT&T. Only drawback is no 4G/LTE.

personally I prefer the Zenfone, but I don't think it is worth paying an extra $250 over a P8max
