Awesome reaction, Mykal (Michael) Kilgore was an original founding member with Geoff, Layne and Earl back in 1997. They were named "4thelove". Scott Porter joined in 2000 so they changed it to "4:2: Five". Mykal left in 2002 for a very successful Broadway career and still going strong.
Great arrangement by Layne (who worked his beatboxing backside off in this one!) - he said Geoff was really the most logical option as Scar. They go through so much work and trouble to get these to us - we appreciate it greatly! 🌹🕊
Mykal (Michael) was an original member from high school days when they were known as 4-The love. When they added Scott Porter as their beat boxer they became 4:2: Five. They became VoicePlay when they were on The Sing-Off.
This is a great one, so much fun. My favorite version. Ah, but when you see their Halloween one, it will kill any dispute about whether VoicePlay rules the holiday! They do. They absolutely do!💙
Since you commented about the production team in regards to when the lighting changed to red, I’ll just point out that the ‘team’ was Eli. And you’re right - that was beautifully done! Not just the timing but also how clean the colors stayed. Red and green could mix into a muddy brown but he still had a small spot of that green in the middle of the background surrounded by all that red light.
Great reaction guys! Not a big Lion King fan, but this performance was legendary. Give me this for a live action and I am there. Geoff slayed this and Mykal was amazing.
This is fantastic. Voiceplay posted their Halloween video on their Patreon about a week ago. It should be released on TH-cam sometime soon. It is fun, scary and thrilling.
Disney that I'd love to hear VoicePlay is a full-length not just a short, is A Friend Like Me. They have done Friends on the Other Side, Moana, Little Mermaid, Frozen 2, We Don't Talk About Bruno, Hellfire, Go the Distance, Oogie Boogie's Song, This is Halloween, What's This?, Kidnapping Sandy Claws, and what started as a short but ended up full length (but short formatting) The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
Thank you both for an awesome reaction to Voice Play. Just get prepared for their upcoming new Halloween video. It's gonna be a real banger. You will love it. It was already released to their patreans so the rest of us will get it soon. Be on the lookout for it. We can't wait for your reactions ❤
One of my favourite, hugely underrated, Disney movies is Robin Hood (1973). Adam Chance did a short solo cover of “Oodalally” which I LOVE but I reckon the boys could sprinkle their magic on one of the songs from it.
i do love that so many people love be prepedned even know it less story importion and needed part of the lion king and this is great cover of a fun song
For a full Disney song... Honestly, it's only kind of Disney, but my biggest wish at the moment is actually for them to do It's a B-Movie from The Brave Little Toaster. That song just rocks and I think they could put together an incredible arrangement of it. If that doesn't count, though, I'd also love to hear their version of Zero to Hero from Hercules! I'd also love to see them do a Hunchback of Notre Dame medley. I'd have said The Bells of Notre Dame as my biggest song wish, but there's that whole long story break in it that might make that a little more difficult, and I adore so many of the other songs in that movie (Out There, Topsy Turvy, God Help the Outcasts, and The Court of Miracles), so it'd make for a great medley IMO! (It could also be really fun to hear them do a Country Bear Jamboree medley of different songs from the original version of the show! That one might be a bit more out there, though, LOL.)
@@highlyreactivereactionsGeoff also does a mean beatboxing you may want to hear in...The Death of A Bachelor. Geoff actually taught Layne how to beatbox. He also raps, they all do.
Does Fidelity Fiduciary Bank count as a Disney villain song? The original performance of that one, doesn't do the song justice at all, so there's a *lot* of room for someone to do a cover that could significantly improve upon it. Also, it would have a lot of room for Layne to mess around with the perc.
that last drop by Geoff was not only sick, but he held it forever. They all went crazy at the end. They never disappoint. Thanks for the reaction ❤

VoicePlay really does make it fun!! They keep me engaged start to finish.
Loved watching y'all take this in and enjoy it just like I did! ❤
I was waiting for "Be prepared" for years after seeing the little part in the ACA Top 10 Disney villains by them 🫣🙈
Would love a Pocahontas medley ❤

Y’all need to learn to watch VoicePlay with captions on. You missed a funny without it. 😉
Geoff should have been live action scar. Shame on disney for whiffing that casting option.
