Good video Jon. I do the exact same thing as you buddy. I try out way too many different products over the top of other products that it probably has some sort of compatibility or clarity issues and then I have to start over again. I have gone so far down the rabbit hole that the rabbit itself is a mile above me! LOL Do I really need 20+ various waxes, 25+ various sealants, 20+ rinseless washes, 14 buckets, 100+ brushes of every size imaginable. etc. etc. I really have a strong desire lately to just consolidate, organize, and purge out my garage and go with one company that has just about everything you need (I really like Griot's Garage) and stick with that just for my own sanity! LOL

not really. some compounds are solvent based some are emulsions. Water and IPA isnt that effective on its own against solvent based products because its polar trying to mix with non polar (they repel each other). If you add a tiny amount of surfactant (apc will do or SLS) your IPA homebrew will be more effective because this will allow it to combine with the solvent carrier. you need to know your upper limits as well anything about 70% total IPA can swell softer aftermarket clearcoats (25% is about right). Ive done videos on how to make homebrew panel wipe and ive done videos comparing them to others. I use my own panel wipe for lots of things though so if your on a budget its an option for sure. But for complete certainty use the panel wipe thats made by the company who makes the compound you use.

Would u recommend this over the 3d speed wax, im finding this product very hard to find, its all sold out 😂

if you want the best protection in an AIO ive not found anything that gets near this. Consider though this is more of a finishing polish (although I actually think it has a fair bit of cut). The 3d speed is just as nice to use and buff and puts one hell of a nice shine on the car. The downside is the protection from the montan wax in 3d is short lived. I keep both these products I have 2 litres of advanced now and a bottle of 3d speed.

@ForensicDetailing ok thanks i appreciate the reply, my f30 just has some minor swirl marks but being a black car they show up. Never used a polisher before and its a long process after wash and clay. I might just use my ez car care ceramic detailer on top of the 3d, if the rupes doesn't come in stock in time.
