@@williamwallace5857 haha 😂 it is all good. Music is for everyone and everyone has different tastes. What a boring world it would be if everyone had the same taste in music.
Classic, 80's, Hair Metal ballad. Check out the rest of their catalog my man... Talk Dirty To Me...Something To Believe In...Unskinny Bop...Nothin' Bur a Good Time...Fallen Angel, just to name a few.
so many Poison bangers: Nothin' But A Good Time, Talk Dirty To Me, Unskinnu Bop, Something To Believe In , to name a few 🤘 many would say Glam at it's finest 💋
Check out the band WARRANT "UNCLE TOM'S CABIN", "HEAVEN", "DOWN BOYS", "SOMETIMES SHE CRIES", "I SAW RED", "BLIND FAITH". Singer Jani Lane had an Amazing voice!! He was an awesome writer/lyricist/musician. Sadly, we lost him too soon. I miss him so much!! RIP Jani.
This is funny story, but i was in high school in 80s here in PA where they r from and in school a friend told us her cousin was in a band and they went to California and we're gonna make it big...I don't know if we really believed it because it wasn't like today trying to get into the music industry. Much harder then...her cousin was Bobby Dall. Like right before we graduated they broke out and here we r.
Love Poison!! Seen in an interview where Brett said he wrote this song while on the road. They were at a laundry mat in Texas and he called home to talk to his girlfriend and another man answered the phone, lol. Poison has some really great songs. If you get a chance, check out their song Something To Believe In, or for something fun check out Unskinny Bop or Talk Dirty To Me. Great reaction!! 😊
Poison was a huge group! They were big! You need to check out their rabbit hole. Brett Michaels is the lead vocals and I had the biggest crush on him.❤ great reaction!
Poison has been my favorite band since the late 80's. Only number 1 simply because they were not as hard as some other "metal" bands of that time. I would say they have a touch more melody to the songs and not as much grunge. But their music is great and has really stood up to the test of time. Their shows today are as good as the shows in the 90's. Check out Something to Believe In for another ballad, Nothing but a Good Time for the more rock anthem song.
Poison: Unskinny Bop Something To Believe In Look At What The Cat Dragged In Like The Wind Your Momma Don't Dance (cover) Just a few to get you rolling with 😊
For all the crap people gave Poison , they were a great band to see live. A ton of fun & very entertaining. Met Bret Michaels on one of his solo tours , he's one of the coolest , nicest people i've ever net. Down to earth , great sense of humor.
One of my all time favorite tunes! I'm a Hank Jr & Sr, Conway Twitty, Alabama, Willie & Boxcar kinda guy... but this.. these words cut deep! My beautiful wife of 24 years has no idea why I'll sit and pick this on my 6-string singin away out on my deck by myself; WRAPPED IN MY OWN BRAIN! It's nothing she ever did; it was the woman before her. Would I trade my life with her; HELL NO.. but sometimes I just drift away to "what if"... I was a man shut down from the world for nearly two years after her leaving.. Guess that's what I got for completely living my life FOR her. Lesson learned. My dearly beloved wife and I are partners.. not all one way. Even when we hit our 10th anniversary; I still don't think I was 100% "there". It took her sticking with me through my battle of alcohol addiction that lasted quite a spell. This'll sound very strange to many.. but my girl went to BPS to buy a matching coffee mug for me that had a cover (3hr drive each way) because I shook so bad getting sober... it was honestly at that very moment I finally broke down and bailed my F'n eyes out. I let it all go. All the hate, the bitterness, the anger.. it all came out. The only thing that stuck inside was love. She deserves every ounce I can provide to her. I take anxiety meds now.. but every once in a while; pickin on my 6-string.. my fingers just start strumming this song outta the blue and that lump 3 feet above my ass starts to wander again....
1988, I was 13 on a Friday night at a Poison concert, seeing this live. What a time to be alive ❤ I love the new generation is getting to experience this❤
BAD ENGLISH - " Obsession " / and also " Rocking Horse " 1980's /1990 Hair Metal Classics 🎸 these 2 songs are absolutely AWESOME too I remember playing acoustic guitar to this Amazing Rock Jam.
For some more modern day Shakespeares, check out some more Duran Duran. We used to joke back in the day that "Simon LeBon was a poet and didn't know it." 😂 In honor of spooky season coming up, please check out the official video of Nightboat for some poetry, drama, horror, you name it. It's got everything.
This was their slow song. Every song has a high pitch guitar solo and the band is still performing with all its original members. Definitely worth exploring more
They've got so many damn good songs. Something to believe in. I won't forget you. Life goes on. Look what the cat dragged in talk dirtier to me ain't nothing but a good time and that's just a few. I don't know that this song is their best, although a lot of people like it and to me it's okay but my favorite is life goes on as far as their ballads go and then ain't nothing but a good time is one of my favorites along with look what the cat dragged in. But yeah, from time to time react to a song from them, especially any ones that I have suggested because there are others that have suggested the same things. And they're right and don't forget Cinderella
Was at Jr high school dances, dancing to this with the girls. Brings back some memories. You wanna see a real good one from them next, check out, nothing but a good time, that sums up the 80s in about 3 and half minutes 😂 but on another note, loved how you said c.c. was smooth with the guitar, not a lot of people say that about him. He's really an underrated guitar player, IMO
Yep had this cassette in the 80's and loved it. Every song on it. This was good, but the cassette had better songs. This one exploded all over. Since I have the last name of Rose, this song may mean something. HA!
Poison with Bret Michaels as a lead singer is just so rocking. They are so amazing, so to me when they sing and perform are just epic. Bret has had a very successful solo career but when you put him with his group they are just epic to me anyway.
I like this and especially because i just saw Brett here in Pa like 3 weeks ago. I love Nothing But A Good time, Ride the Wind more...and Something to Believe in. He was great singing with Dee Snyder, Dave Bray, Great White, Mark Mcgrath...if i could figure out how to send the video i would, but im old and my kids are too old to live at home anymore 😂
Poison had some awesome hits bro! People rag on them but they made their mark in music. Guitarist CC Deville (hugest blond hair) has a degree in music from some Ivy League school. One of his professors told him he was wasting his talents playing rock music. Teachers aren't always right. Also check out the official video for Nothin' But A Good Time, another absolute fire breather from Poison. In that one CC is playing many guitars, but the neon pink, Japanese built, Jackson Soloist is a f**king holy grail guitar in guitar circles. Very very cool!!!
Perfect 80s tune. Formulaic, overly dramatic, pretty simple, and overall magnificent. People generally give CC DeVille a hard time for being a hack lead guitar player. While this little solo is simple enough to play, a lot of his stuff isn't. He's a lot better than people think.
They had 4 or 5 big songs and their music videos were in heavy rotation on MTV back then. "Talk Dirty To Me" , "Nothing But A Good Time" , "Unskinny Bop" , "Something To Believe In ".

RIP Jani.

Ah, the poison journey. You have to check out "Nothing but a good time" and "Something to believe in". 2 more or their biggest hits.
