Great industry. It's something you grow to be passionate about. Genuinely make a difference for the better. And advancements are very obtainable, atleast through my company. They are also helping me obtain my electrical license and are paying for every certification I obtain. Highly recommend!

My solar electricians make anywhere from 30 to 45 an hour and some companies pay more plus bonuses. It’s definitely worth it for making a 6 figure income at one point but you got to work your way up can’t just get the license and assume you’ll get the senior solar tech positions there’s many men that have otj training which will put them ahead of you even if they don’t have the certifications or journeyman’s license.

Just get your solar or electrical contractor license , do your own jobs. These residential companies want to ride off your license and pay you dirt cheap. Its a slave job I did it when I just got into solar, I was also younger. Now Im on the operations side.. which means keeping big solar power plants running, working on substations etc.
