Bro i work at a solar company but I’m responsible for the materials that the installers use its so satisfying seeing the equipment i pull being used! Make more
Looks like they had to put a splice between them. Judging by their crayon lines for the array dimensions they marked on the roof, seems they didn't make a rail long enough? I've been there. Also notice how he's got the rope tied to that same rail rather than in an anchor nailed to a rafter haha. Still, great work and as a solar installer myself, I enjoyed the little moments of showing off. Great production value, too.
Here on Long Island you can start anywhere from 18-23 top pay is around 40 plus doing electrical. My cousin does only electrical he’s getting 42 plus a van and OT
I've been looking into doing this but I'm not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to this stuff....I use to do construction helper and at the time I mainly just did whatever they asked, not really the type to lead the way, need a guide or something idk. Any tips??
bro just go out and do it, some places hire entry level without any experience, there are also schools u can go to and learn the trade without any education levels which makes this a big career.
Absolutely I saw a woman who were applying for solar. Some women work in electrical field since it's focus more on mental than physical. Then again there's a little chance you will met women in trades. But I'm guessing Electrician and Solar are best job for women just my opinion.
Whats the name of the box that they connect the solar panels to? I have the panels but not that box.. and I'm wondering if there more plugs needed with that box
They were working with both the envoy and the main service panel. You have to add breakers to the service panel to connect the panels to, and then the panels plug into the Envoy outside, which then attaches to the utility meter. You also need a lockable but accessible rapid blade disconnect within 5 feet of the utility meter in most states as well. If you're not using microinverters, youll have an inverter box instead of an Envoy as well.
@@christiant.1113 Idk man I just find it very boring in the sense that your doing the same job every day and the only changing aapect is sometimes Ur on diff types of roofs

Very nice video, gives deep insights for those details :) Why are you using metal ducts, aren't they more expensive? Why nor chepaer PVC?
metal raceways are required for any DC runs
Seeing solar guys bend emt makes me giggle
