    508 hp, 0-60 in 3.6 and top speed of 186+mph. It is absolutely insane!

    @itsTiLER It does have them actually, but they are integrated into the headlamp cluster.

    Yeah, I saw them in person.. they look much better in person for sure.

    Sure he did. The "intelligent" key is awesome. I can open the door without the key and start the car. You can hit a button and it tells you if the doors were locked or left open....pretty cool to me.

    City safety, Pr-collision, Blind-spot monitoring...etc. is by no means a replacement for common sense when driving. It's nice to know in an emergency that car would attempt to stop if you can't, but as a driver, you should still be responsible for the control of your vehicle.

    I am looking a a used S60R (the previous body style). I have always hated the boxy (MOM) look of Volvo's but after about 2004 I LOVE them :)

    I just can't see this being better than it's competition.

    City Safety helps prevent low-speed collisions with vehicles, not objects. He'd have needed the Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake option. (and even then, it's mainly designed to prevent collisions with vehicles and pedestrians)
    Not sure what the issue with Volvo's intelligent key is- you keep it in your pocket and you can unlock/lock/start the car without pulling it out, identical to everyone else's integration.

  • @StlPike2004
    @StlPike2004 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am pretty sure it's just cars in S60R. I just got one and you have to buy the Technology Package with pedestrian detection. "City Safety" is standard though.

    My friend had a XC60, and tried to show me the "city safety" feature and drove it into a tree...lol I absolutely HATE the intelligent key (or whatever it's called).

    Which gives you how much HP? The concept S60 Polestar has 508 HP, 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 186+

  • @StlPike2004
    @StlPike2004 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just got one. It is Polestar tuned.

  • @StlPike2004
    @StlPike2004 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    It has Active Bending Lights......and the Bi-Xenons are awesome. I just bought one and the ABL's are awesome. I had an older model with fog lights and the S60R's lights are 10X better.

    I just can't wait for the 508 HP, 0-60 in 3.6 sec, +186 mph, E-LSD equipped S60 Polestar!!!!!!!!
    Go and spread the word Volvo fans!!!

    @stevehammes - hi Steve! great review of the Volvo S60. I am a big fan of this car. I'd like to ask a question if possible. I noticed that the speedo and rpm dials feature numbers made of some sort of shiny metal. and while they might look good from some angles, it seems like they might be difficult to read in poor light conditions, say afternoon while driving trough a forest road. is that the case? thank you.

  • @StlPike2004
    @StlPike2004 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is bad about it? I like it. You can lock and unlock the doors with the key in your pocket, and of course start the car. You click one button and it shows if it is locked or open. I test drove other cars before I bought mine like Lexus, Audi, and Acura......there wasn't a huge difference.

    @camaroman101 im not talking about the camry i just made a reference there to speed. You can buy a mustang GT for 35 grand which is 10x more fun and exciting than the volvo.

    Oh, also, for potential owners of the S60 R-Design say hello to its new 13.2 inch front rotors! .9 inches bigger than the old ones to make sure you stop better and in time!

    Guys, you should all go out and test drive the S60 and stop acting like it's comparable to some other cars like a Mustang. That makes NO sense. It's a totally different car with a completely different function. It's not designed that those kinds of drivers. [face_plain]

  • @YourLoyalDeserter
    @YourLoyalDeserter 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    That was stupid of him. The tree is too thin to be detected by City Safety, anyway. The new systems would be able to detect it.

  • @RealtimeReviews613

    Kyle saab but older lol?

  • @MikeeePR22
    @MikeeePR22 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @tcbecht88 Your friend aparently doesnt know how the system works because city safety is to prevent a crash under 20 mph and to minimize the crash after 20 mph the system is designed to detect CARS not TREES since your not gona find a tree in the middle of the street when driving, then the system was not built to detect trees but just cars , ive tested the system and it honestly works flawlesly , sorry to hear about your friends XC60 lol

  • @MikeeePR22
    @MikeeePR22 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @neptoon08 you cannot compare a kia optima to a Volvo S60 T6 R-Design , when you drive the Volvo and drive the Kia the answer of why will become obvious , the Kia is a veryy nice car i love the looks of it , but thats just about it , the car is disconected from the road , suspension is soft , and it torque steers like a pig since its FWD and some materials feel very cheap since it is a cheap car so they r two very diff cars in diff leagues.

  • @StlPike2004
    @StlPike2004 12 ปีที่แล้ว
