Volvo is doing a great job at becoming more than just a car with great safety. They also are getting ridiculously stylish.. and those seats just look fantastic.
this is one fun car to drive. My Xc90 is in the shop and I have this as a courtesy car. Love it in sport mode. really fast I would not bother getting the t6. this one is more than fast enough
I saw it in person the other day.. definitely a much smaller car than I thought.

Nice review Tom! I've always found an odd number of cylinders to be....odd LOL! As long as it works I guess it really doesn't matter if the cylinders are odd or even numbered. I wish more auto manufactures would offer manual transmissions with all their cars. It's a shame that more people these days either don't know how to or just don't want to drive a manual car. Manufactures seem to realize that fact and that's why they are eliminating the option from a lot of cars.
I love this car. I'm a BIG fan of Volvo & that goes for all of there models. Test driving the S60 R-Design was magnificent. I like that it had everything that you could ever want in a car, & more. Of corse it comes with more safety features than anyone will ever have. Volvo, I think, always had amazing sculpters to make there cars stylish for the next 10 years. Have not said that none of there cars before the S60 was realy looked at in a style prespective. Go Volvo

The base model is, this one is AWD. It's one of the reasons Volvo feels it will greatly improve sales. Besides, the base A4 is front drive with a CVT.

Unfortunately the five year maintenance has been kicked out as of Januari 2013. Only ten percent of the buyers actually used it. It has been replaced by 30,000 miles maintenance included. The wear and tear has also been kicked out.
Also, how does the Haldex system stack up against Audi's Quattro AWD?
I think it appears on the smaller side in person.

This a sweet car! Not sure I'd get one thought since you can get a A4 quattro for about then same price. I'd havento drive it and probably will in a few years. I've always enjoyed the sound of Volvo/Audi 5 poppers!

From what I can figure, the T5 is not available with the four-c steering/handling option, at least not in the lower trim lines. Otherwise I wouldn't mind the T5.
It's pretty common these days. Most cars come with roadside assistance.
I would buy this over a C-Class Mercedes or an A4 Audi, but I would have to take a LONG look between this and the 3-Series BMW. The pricing is pretty attractive though and I would probably end up taking the Volvo.
You obviously don't know me. When considering cars, I look for more than how it drives which I find the Volvo to be just fine, I consider things like reliability, which the the other three have trouble with.

I like the looks of the volvos coming out now. Especially the S40, V50, and S60. The S80 looks too weird to me. If I had money if gladly take a XC90 T6.

I think Volvo lost there corporate design with this car - looks like any other car. The back is typical for volvo, but that's it. Think away the grill 2:49 - you could not guess which brand.

The T5 is not turbo charged. only the R sedan is. The T stands for tansverse engine where the engine(camshaft etc) is perpendicular to the driveshaft.
Volvo is a forgotten brand. Its not mainstream and it is very boring. It doesn't seem premium like bmw, audi or mercedes. They look decent but not great. Pretty boring!
Tranny sounds old-school, but not in a good way. If you were willing to say transmission, it would be a perfect review.
