As a football-mad 12yr old Irish kid I remember tuning into BBC radio the evening of the St Ethienne game in the folks car. Even with the cackly reception you could feel the atmosphere & then when Fairclough scored the winner ,,,,,, the magic was incredible,
Here's yer brother on that score John.. An elderly man from the Corpo was looking after the flat next door until the new tenants moved in.. He was listening to the match on a transistor radio on the balcony.. I was in turmoil scrunched up against the hall door with the clock running down.. 12 years old and a laughing stock amongst me pals.. Liverpool.. Joke team.. In no time I became the go to kid in the flats and in school.
liverpool fc was on 70s and 80s a great team i used to admire this. shankly and paisley great managers.cheers and best wishes to lfc from a aek athens supporter
Am an Arsenal fan, but I have soft spot for Liverpool, because that city love their sport especially their football with two clubs in the city especially Liverpool at Anfield who had great players such as St John, Callaghan, Toshack, Keegan, Hansen, McDermott, Phil Thompson and Dalglish. Shankly the great manager for a remarkable club. Gerald Sinstant, the voice of Granada TV Sport bringing the Liverpool classics for their reigion and for ITV network.

Did I just hear Phil Thompson say Bob Paisley was in the Panzer Division?? (At about 7:15.) He really was NOT.
Kevin Keegan The King !!

What was happening at 2:03 on the edge of the pitch ?
Liverpix medical emergency
I agree. Sir Bob was a genius. As I said in the other video. Sir Bob succeeded a messiah. Ferguson succeeded a moron.
Well spoken. lol
