You are so funny! I have had my French door Samsung refrigerator for ten years and I love it. I have a whole drawer of ice in the freezer drawer. I don’t have that freezer defrost you mentioned but if the cubes look funky I let the door empty all the ice every few months and get the old stuff out. The freezer drawer has perfect ice.
Do you have the part number on the new board? Also did they replace the ice maker itself as well?

I use Waterdrop brand filters. Same coconut carbon filter rating as Samsung brand...no water pressure issues.

I have this fridge (manufactured in April 2015) - I am trying to take the middle drawers out inside the freezer to wash and clean but cannot figure out how to get the drawers out?!?

How do you take off the entire front ice/water control panel and put it into another refrigerator door of the same kind. Please pm or send me a video. I have a customer that has a door only and nothing else. I deliver appliances all the time. Thanks for the tip on the filter.
Anyone know the button combination to put this fridge into test/diagnostic mode? I want to put the fridge into force defrost mode. I have tried various combinations stated in other videos but nothing ever happens.
hold Freezer and Lighting buttons about 12 sec then push the lighting button until you see Fd it will beep for 20 min. May need to do more then once.

Samsung agreed to replace the icemaker (fridge started having issues at about a year), but due to poor customer service, they botched the scheduling of the technician wasting our day. when technician finally showed up, said he replaced the icemaker and circuit board at back. He also silicone sealed the joining between the icemaker compartment and the inside of the fridge, since as he said, flexing of plastics can occur over time. He also discovered that the flex zone rail harness assembly and deli control panel was defective but it wasn't covered.
My icemaker is still not making ice after defrosting it. What's next?
We’ve had this fridge for 13 months and the ice maker started freezing over at around 10 months. Did not get the extended plan.
Michael Himes one thing they recommended was to defrost the entire freezer to get all ice out. I don’t know if that is an option for you - but a guy told me it worked for him for like 9 months at a time.
Mr Gizmo thanks. The manual I have didn’t even say how to do that so I put a towel in the ice box and squirted warm water on the ice block. It melted and it has been making ice for about 6 weeks now. But does not appear to be a permanent solution.
Michael Himes that was a great idea! Thanks for sharing. I doubt it is permanent, but if you had to do it a few times a year it would get you by.
I was ready to give up on my Samsung Ice Maker. I’m out of warranty. Can’t be too hard to replace the board.

I still have ice issues- they get stuck once dispensed, it clogs the United from making more ice. I have to clear it out every 2-3 days. Worst thing ever!

Yeah I have this same fridge and the ice maker was working great for the first few months now it is creating a frost on underside the ice machine unit which travels over to the area where the ice is dispensed causing the cubes to clog up and get stuck together after that it’s a huge chunk of ice blockage and the only way to break it down is to carefully use a heat gun to melt the ice chunk to loosen it up. I have to perform this every month or two. I seems as if the sensor that detects whether the ice bow tray is full is not functioning? Or some refrigerator condensation is flowing into the box causing the frost build up.
It's only an ice maker you should be buying a fridge for one. Just buy a good undercounter ice machine
Use a paper towel and pure vinegar to wipe your samsung refrigerator and other appliances. And the prints will disappear like magic...
Brand new fridge it has been plugged in for 6 hours and still does not make 1 ice cubes and not cool at all.
Juan Montes De Oca did it ever cool? Maybe it was still in demo mode?
I was lied to by Samsung who swore to me the issue had been fixed. Freezes over a of 3/14/20

I bought my Flex fridge in June 2016. Samsung has TWICE replaced the ice maker out of warranty (to their credit, although it was like pulling teeth to get them to do it). The third ice maker has now failed after just one year. Samsung has NOT fixed the ice maker problem and they now REFUSE to replace it again (phone customer support). I sent two private messages to Samsung and they have IGNORED both messages (which is odd because in the past they were always very responsive).
@@robkunz5 nope that’s Samsung’s way they handle complaints. My stove stopped working after 10 months , the refused to return calls the by the time I actually got a person they said it was no longer under warranty ( literally the day after it expired) . After months of wrangling and hours on the phone we were SUPPOSED to get a measly $400 back. Still waiting for that two months later. Every time we call they claim they don’t have something we submitted. The joke is we bought it directly from Samsung so they have a detailed record f it all. Now my ice maker isn’t working so guessing that won’t be fixed either till my extended warranty from a third party kicks in in 5 months. Terrible company. Wish I had known before I handed them thousands of dollars for appliances. My new stove, second I purchased in 13 months, definitely is not Samsung.
Anyone have the issue where ice works but the freezer is not frozen? Bread is cold and not frozen. Very disappointed in this $2k waste.
Class Action law suit was filed and won in Florida against Samsung I hear Samsung are reimbursing in Florida who had to pay to get their Ice Makers repaired

David Hernandez yes I would recommend it with the 5 year warranty. Also if you go to eBay you can buy a 10% off coupon that helps with the cost.
The delivery guys actually recommended an extended warranty when they dropped this off. Boy are we regretting not listening! We're going round and round about an ice maker repair with only a few weeks until the warranty is up and we are convinced they are stalling until it's out of warranty. I have had one person tell me there is a service notification on these ice makers so I'm clinging to that hope and that we can get it working soon. Not going to lie, we're moving in a year and don't have time to deal with this every month (check TH-cam videos for Samsung ice makers freezing over every few weeks!) so we're getting a bar ice maker and we'll leave this fridge's ice maker for the next person to deal with! (I'm with Mr. Gizmo though, the flex zone/extra fridge space is so nice to have but the fingerprints and ice maker cancel out the benefits for me!)

this is the worst samsung is the worst i never in my life i ll buy this shit the ice machine is frozen all the time i call the garanty they charge me 90 dlls they come 3 time to fix it never fix it this samsung is a shame
