    Nice thing about the greddy type s you can make it recirc just by attaching the bypass hose to it. Just need a sti-greddy adapter plate and on hose 1.25"ID slightly longer than the oem one.

    another great video! Do either of the valves offer more performance than the other in terms of boost produced? Or are they simply used depending on where the air meter is located?

    I would like to Add that a recirculating valve sounds better too. I've got BOV on my S15 that can be adjusted to full recirculating and full atmospheric (GFB Stealth FX Bov) and I vastly prefer the sound of 100% recirculating vs 100% or even 50% vent to atmosphere. Granted not all turbo charged car will sound the same as the SR20DET has a long venting pipe and mine is fitted with a POD filter which does make the vent sound louder.

    Using precision 46 mm wastegate.

    What do u mean by tune? I have installed a intake looking into bov or recirc but not many made for 2011 rdx i found a turboxs hybrid on ur site would u recomend that ?

    What sensor does the FRS have? Is it a mass air meter or a MAF?

    Is it possible to do a hybrid of an anti-lag system and blow-off valve? Such as placing the BOV before the mass air-flow meter and venting it to the section of exhaust before the turbochargers exhaust wheel and after the engine?

    so for a gen2 speed3 im not sure if i want to get a bpv or a bov. having the pshh sound is always nice but im not sure what is more efficient for the car on its stock tune. If the valve is after the meter then id be better off just getting an upgrade bpv and not a bov. but if not...

    Does recirculating values make the same noise as the blow off values?
    I have a 2013 mini cooper S hardtop, which one is more suitable for it? I will have it tuned with the installation. But which one will produce the releasing air sound while releasing the pedal?

    So why does the rich condition matter? If it's only on boost and between shifts anyway? Wouldn't the extra fuel help turbo spool stay up due to unburned fuel traveling through the exhaust and turbo?..

    Should have said, "recirculates air before turbo". The air it is recirculating is already pre-intake manifold.

    Hi, I'm trying to get information before adding a BPV to my CLA 45 (no BOV or BPV from stock). If I add a BPV, is the air being recirculated back to the manifold will disturb what's calculated by the mass air meter?

    But if the MAF is after the BOV? ...would it even matter if VTA, or Recalculate? You didn't address this Andy.

      Robert Campbell because if you are switching from a diverter(recipricating) valve to a blow off valve the car is now venting the extra air into the atmosphere instead of back into the intake. so the car may think that there is a intake leak of some sort and throw a "check engine" light. tuning will then fix the car's computer to know that the air is being vented out instead of reused.

    Who actually completely lifts off the throttle when driving "spiritedly". Lift a little, but not all the way! Lol whenever you change the blow off valve or recirculating valve you should get the engine tuned for it yes?

      if the bov or recirculating valve is the same (upgrade bov for bov, and recirculating for recirculating) you shouldn't need a new tune, but if you go vise vera you will if you have a mass airflow sensor set up, with map sensors its all about pressure at any given point in time and it doesn't matter where the air goes to and from where because your going by pressure and temp not volume
