Porsche development driver Lars Kern took just seven minutes 33 seconds to clock in a full lap in the electric vehicle. Jump onboard.

    Obviosly neither the Tesla Plaid nor the Porsche Taycan are built for the track. An ev is currently only an daily driver car. But you can clearly see the Taycan is another level regarding brake and handling performance as the Tesla.

      @Maarten_vd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      On another level? 2 seconds faster..don't forget, its purposly build as a sports car. (just like the Tesla Roadseter will be)
      And this Porsche had Pirelli P Zero Corsa sports tyres in this test. Not street legal tyres on which the Model S was only 2 seconds slower.

      @@KaypangAsli No buddy, the taycan lost from the road legal (with standaard tyres) Plaid before.
      So now Porsche descided to equip the standaard Taycan with rollcage, other seats, porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, 21-inch RS-Spyder wheels and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres. Now the taycan was able to best the standaard Plaid with 2 seconds over a 7 minutes lap. These cars are both awesome.

      @@freakattack9616 did you read my comment? Or do you choose to stay ignorant as it fits your narrative / the thing you want to believe?
      Give the plaid the same tyres and it will be faster than the Taycan.
      Will you then also reply with "that says it all".
      The top of the line Taycan is much, much more expensive than the Models. The models also does not have carbon brakes etc etc.
      It's not meant as a sportscar.
      Porsche always has driving dynamics in their mind while building a car, at a cost ofcourse.
      Tesla is building the roadster, it will eat the Taycan for lunch. Does that mean the Taycan is bad? No. They are all great cars that some lucky few can afford.
      It's meaningless to discuss or to say; that one is bad because the other was 2 seconds (over 7 minutes) faster.
      It's stupid.
