I am afraid to ask my direct supervisor and my store manager for this information because I fear that instead of helping me. Maybe they just discourage me. And just advise me to forget about that idea. I fear that they are worried about running out of staff, among other things.
The best person to ask would be HR but go to the website you went to to apply for the job you currently have, then look under transportation and see if there’s an opening for associate to driver program. Congrats welcome. As he will probably let you all know you don’t get an assigned truck with Walmart right away. It can take years to get your own truck until then you will be slip seating and even when you get an assigned truck people can drive it on your days off

@@driversuccess NO, there are no other days available this month or next month. The bad thing about it is I was scheduled for interview today for opening in Douglas, Ga. The recruiter emailed me yesterday that position is now filled so I searched & found Alachua, Fl...Gainesville, I applied & was in middle of setting appointment & got message that someone beat me to the only available appointment. Crazy!! 🤷♂️
@@andrepoole2933 I personally would be proactive and try calling them on the number that was provided and speak to someone just to see what my options are. You never know how God can make a way
@@driversuccessso why might the recruiter contact me only two days (applied on Saturday, contacted on Monday) after applying & I didn't use a reference because I didn't know so many Drivers were online advising applicants to use a reference to get application looked at sooner
