    You'd recommend crossflow and fan kit before reroute? I assumed that the reroute evening cylinder temps would be the first order of business.

      Depending on how the car is used i recon it could go either way

      It depends on if your problem is getting heat out of the engine or getting heat out of the coolant. In our experience, the latter is more difficult to do and the cause of more overheating problems.

      @@FlyinMiataVideo so I have your older coolant reroute and inline thermostat... works great keeps temps down without fans unless summer (i live in nc) but I still feel like oil is getting to much heat or injectors idk exactly but I am trying to figure out ... soon to install oil cooler and filter relocation and then boost it but have been trying to work all out b4 boosting ... I have rx8 injectors ... my dead time is set to .8 and the close angle is 355 across board .... should the close angle be different than the stock miatas ? ...tuning myself so I learning and have not found anything on this subject yet ... plenty on dead time but not close angle ... I running a speedyefi standalone witch runs tuner studio speed density tuning its about the middle of ms2 and ms3 .... so yeah I am rambling but I figure who better to ask than yal . . . Peace and love to all and stay safe and thanks in advance

      @@mastercricket7626 We're not able to help with tuning your standalone, sorry.
      Oil and water temps tend to follow each other, so cooling one will knock down the temp of the other.

      @@FlyinMiataVideo was not asking for help tuning was asking about the injector dead angle of rx8 injectors cuz I can't find a thread on it but thanks anyways

    I live somewhere where the weather is generally hot and humid, 35-38 degree Celsius most of the year. I use my NB2 as a daily and often find myself on traffic, during those moments I sometimes see my water temperature gauge (aftermarket fitted) creeps up to almost 115 degrees celsius and i find it very concerning. Both my fans are always on as I use my AC all the time and it is on stock cooling system. Is this normal or should I continue to be concern? Is there a workaround on this? Many thanks!

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There could be many variables that would contribute to the temps going up in traffic. Would you mind emailing this to our techs directly at support@flyinmiata.com ? They can get more details and give you a much more comprehensive response there. Thanks!

    How will the different kits fit in a V8 swap?

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That will depend on the radiator you're using and how you mount it. We used our old Stage 2 setup (basically the current Stage 1 with a different fan combo) on the ones we built here. We haven't tested to see if the brushless units will fit yet - it looks like it might be possible but it will be tight.

  • @RedCoat232

    Do you have the measurement from the back of the radiator to the back of the fan on the Stage 3 kit so I know exactly how much space it takes at the widest point?

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Give us a call at 970-464-5600 or an email at support@flyinmiata.com. We should have these measurements available that we can share.

    Any work around for the older stage 2 fan kit? My car stalls just about every time the fan turns on when the car is stopped.

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd be checking idle settings. Your car is having trouble compensating for the increased load. If you're running an aftermarket ECU, you may also be able to stage the two fans so they come on at different times.

    Do you need a stand-alone ecu ? Or I can use it just in regular ecu (NB2). I am interested in stage 2

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use this with a stock ECU, but you will need the add-on "brain" control unit. Feel free to give us a call or drop us an email if we can help with any other questions!

    Does stage 3 fits NDs miatas?

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the moment, we only offer these for NA/NB Miata's.

    Would the Stage 2 kit work in a "V-Mount" setup?

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You would probably have to evaluate that on a case-by-case basis as they're all implemented differently.
