The new apartment is cool, don't wanna live in the rundown apartment block forever. It is also something else to spend money on, money in this game becomes useless after a while.
I feel like people are giving this update far too much credit. Traffic still disappears like 20 feet ahead of you, the city still feels empty, and bugs are still popping up NON STOP. Had my car randomly explode for zero reason yesterday like 5 minutes into opening the game. & no, not playing on console. I9 CPU, 3070 GPU

Played the trial a bit on Ps5. Second time starting the game it crashes. I've played a ton on my Ps5. This is only the second time I've experienced a game crash. I'll wait for a further price drop and a few more updates before buying this. Hell it might be free on PS Plus by the time the base game is launch worthy.

Definitely a lot of improvements. Seems most of the glitches are from typical open world derpiness (Keyword: MOST. Not saying ALL. Folks are real damn quick to attack anyone for daring to say anything good about this game I swear). Clearly there's gonna be a mini-patch at some point real soon for a few things like the car parts frozen in mid air and cars spawn-launching, though that's pretty hilarious. I like that they added a few immersive touches here and there too like the coffee machine and all that, but there are still obvious missed opportunities like that beanbag. I'm fine with character appearance being tied to the apartment mirror, though yeah not very immersive. Could've fixed that with having V look at the mirror and then call a stylist or whatever over. Wouldn't even need the person to come or appear. It'd be like... V: "Hey, I think I need a new look. Can you come over?" Stylist: "Sure thing V, be there in a sec." And then bam, character customization menu. (then again, even that would've probably been complained about so eh.) Love those ripples in the water. Little touches like that bring a lot of immersion. The heavy crowds are awesome as well as them panicking whenever the player causes chaos. I feel people in cars accidentally running over pedestrians makes sense here, especially with the general "who gives a sh* about anyone else" atmosphere Night City has. So far so good, but there needs to be more on the horizon. At the very least this is a great base to start from. Now that they've finished the "Next Gen" update, they can HOPEFULLY focus on fixing what's left and actual story content DLCs. All in all - it's a good game, just not the game that was promised. May pop back in (with mods cuz PC) in the near future.

It’s actually like a whole new game. The only thing i wish they would add if possible is an ads sensitivity adjuster for controller. It’s the same speed as hip fire sensitivity. Some might not mind but I prefer my ads to be a little less sensitive.
Right off the bat it LOOKS so much better! When I first played it was so distorted and blurry/greasy looking. Now it's clear and bug free for me (PS5). I'm hooked on the game. Played all day.

CDPR has the special gift of making game development look extremely hard lol, still it's a great step. edit: to the general response to this being 'but game development is hard,' don't give CDPR that excuse, as a software engineer I wish those were more aware about what exactly is 'hard' about game development, or any software development project at this scale, because it's not the literal engineering problems to be solved, that's typically constrained either by hardware limitations or internal/external tools/libraries/etc. the real 'hard' part about software projects at this scale is overall project management, that's the part CDPR makes look harder than it should be, that's something they should better at a quick example of this: V sleeps in the correct position now in their original flat but now there's a 'new' bug where the lights and text bubbles from the radio are visible as V goes to sleep when the rest of the screen is black, ostensibly this is a very simple bug to fix, in terms of low number of man-hours, so then they went through the trouble of correcting the sleep animation but not fixing that bug? what sequence of miscommunications or deprioritizations must of occurred to result in that silly bug making it into the live build and there are dozens if not easily hundreds of bugs like that throughout cp 2077 1.5, bugs that don't necessarily point to some relatively high-cost technical challenge but rather towards an overall corporate culture that undervalues quality and the necessary level of continued effort, process, and communication needed to achieve it

CDPR has the special gift of making game development look extremely hard lol, still it's a great step.
edit: to the general response to this being 'but game development is hard,' don't give CDPR that excuse, as a software engineer I wish those were more aware about what exactly is 'hard' about game development, or any software development project at this scale, because it's not the literal engineering problems to be solved, that's typically constrained either by hardware limitations or internal/external tools/libraries/etc. the real 'hard' part about software projects at this scale is overall project management, that's the part CDPR makes look harder than it should be, that's something they should better at
a quick example of this:
V sleeps in the correct position now in their original flat but now there's a 'new' bug where the lights and text bubbles from the radio are visible as V goes to sleep when the rest of the screen is black, ostensibly this is a very simple bug to fix, in terms of low number of man-hours, so then they went through the trouble of correcting the sleep animation but not fixing that bug? what sequence of miscommunications or deprioritizations must of occurred to result in that silly bug making it into the live build
and there are dozens if not easily hundreds of bugs like that throughout cp 2077 1.5, bugs that don't necessarily point to some relatively high-cost technical challenge but rather towards an overall corporate culture that undervalues quality and the necessary level of continued effort, process, and communication needed to achieve it
