They're absolutely full of shit. I had a hard crash every ten minutes, there were areas I had to wait at least a minute for every texture to pop in and every NPC to start moving or doing something. I'd arrive in an area where there were bad guys and got a full 30 seconds to start killing them before they rendered in and began to actually fight back. So many bugs in cutscenes kept me from ever being fully immersed and yet I still managed to finish the game before completely giving up. It actually made me think it was time to put up my PS4. Then I borrowed Ghosts of Tsushima from my friend and realized that Cyberpunk 2077 is just a trash game.

I also played it on PS4 Pro. It wasn't too bad at first. After the next few updates I've experienced a bit more bugs and glitches. One thing I noticed the most was the voice audio on V and other NPCs talking on the same time, not talking or skipping lines.

The PS4 version of this game is the reason why I will NEVER preorder games again. I will NEVER be excited for games again, just cautiously optimistic. Thank you Cyberpunk 2077 for 50+ crashes, bullshit difficulty spikes, sub 20 fps, and the hair-pulling insanity I've been through.
They fixed a lot of stuff actually. 1.31 on PS4 has stable 30 fps, decent graphics and is now actually playable (all of the above compared to release). The only issue is loading times, but it might be fixed with an SSD. My PC is able to run it, and I have an SSD, but actually playing it is completely uncomfortable. I bought a PS4 Slim recently, and my friend bought me Cyberpunk on a disk. Surprisingly it runs better on ps4 than on my pc (except for loading problems), and even comfortable enough to finally complete an entire playthrough. I'm happy with the little stuff I have
@@rambleroodle2369 releasing a game for both past gen and next consoles still can be done right. CD Projekt Red is just a special case with their "amazing" management
I played for a while on PS4 Slim now... It doesn't look like they removed most of cars. It looks more like they changed priority of things that load. And in some areas cars don't have time to load and spawn, because it's time to load all buildings and roads. PS4's hard drive might be good, but it's not enough for newest and latest games.
Same here. Even on the PRO it’s the same when at launch it didn’t seem like an issue. They literally made the game worse and it doesn’t even run that much better. I booted it up recently and it looks soo much worse than when i played at launch.
Loving this game right now a year later. Step dad got it as a gag gift. Logged about 60 hours in 5 days. The gun play, the gigs, the dialogue. Never had a crash. I’m in love.
I think I was one of the few people on PS4 who didn't run into any of these issues. There were some bugs here and there for sure, and it crashed a few times. But my experience was no where NEAR this bad. I managed to actually have a pretty good time.
If you think this is bad. Just remember this is after a year of patches. I remember playing this game at launch on my Xbox One, the weaker console of that generation. It couldn’t hit 20FPS let alone 30FPS to save its life and that’s not even mentioning the multiple crashes I had at just the tutorial of the game. Just so you guys remember, this wasn’t blind hype. The game was getting 9/10’s and 10/10’s at launch. My cautious optimism was met with widespread acclaim before launch day. I was ecstatic. My expectations for the game Industry has been souring ever since about 2015 and I finally thought I was gonna enjoy a new title. But I was wrong. This was the worst looking, most unstable game I have played this generation and last generation. The hype came crashing down when I frustratingly tried playing that first day. Even if this game running at its best performance possible, the “rpg mechanics” are hollow, the world is lifeless and empty, and gameplay loop is unsatisfying to say the least. I have learned that gaming isn’t what it once was. Corporate execs prioritize releases for immediate profits and less development costs to maximize profitability. They don’t give a shit about making good games anymore. It is incredibly ironic that a game with some of its core themes being about unchecked corporate interests and their consequences would be the perfect example of those themes.
I should mention that the game on pc wasn’t great either. Kicked me to my desktop on my brand new 3090 constantly. And it just wasn’t fun. This game was the worst launch I’ve ever seen. But notice that no one talks about the actual game itself. That’s because it wasn’t interesting, sadly.
I bought a used, mint, disc version for $20 last year and ran it on a o.g. PS4 with no internet (if you put it in a Ps4/5 with internet, it will immediately tell you that you can't play it until you download the update). I wanted to experience all the hilarious glitches I had seen on the TH-cams. All I got were crashes and game progress breaking bugs that were not funny at all. I felt deceived.
7:20 I know in the game it's a bug, but actually, in reality, there is no muzzle flash when firing that weapon, or one similar to it. You can consider that a feature in that situation.
That's been my experience. I can see that they made improvements, but it irks me that they lied about a lot of features. In particular, cops and criminal factions and the fact that they don't follow you. This is not a role playing game. Its a looter shooter. We wanted an immersive RPG. If they couldn't bring us that on Day 1, then they should have waited a year.
My heart was broken but when i finally played it first time 8 months later I still had a good time. every session ended with a crash, but the story was fucking awesome best characters ever.
It's actually impressive how many bugs this has. The most impressive thing though is how much f76 has improved. We're at a point where it's actually stable and relatively bug free.

Well this brought back memories of playing this on PS4 at launch...and I thank you for the condolences, its more than CDPR ever gave us console players. My family bought it for me for Christmas and felt guilty as they watched me struggle with crashes, bugs and graphics that kept switching between great and terrible in the space of ten seconds. Its a shame because I did manage to have fun with this game when it worked and I wasn't stuck with Takamura's head on my screen preventing me from doing other missions!
They promised it for last gen consoles, then made it work only decently on next gen consoles. It runs great on my Xbox Series X and I never see these bugs, but... damn, this looks rough.
I played Cyberpunk on PS4 Pro and even the Pro struggled with loading assets while driving (and sometimes sprinting) but apart from the performance struggles it's a brilliant game with a great story and characters. Now that I have a PS5 I'm just waiting for the next patch to boot it up again to experience the game with RTX
Had a coworker who was supér hype for this game, he even offer to cover me hours so he can made an extra cash so he can buy the game on lunch... Now he is a hollow bitter husk of the man he was. Great job, Cd Proyect Red.
This is me. Took a day off and told a few colleagues why before doing so. They laughed but kinda didn’t bother me cause they saw how excited I was. Felt incredibly awkward on Monday talking about how it crashed 4 times and it looked and played like absolute shit. Haven’t touched it since (base PS4).
I was actually laughing out loud when playing the first brain dance sequence on a base PS4 - it was literally, 10 seconds of watching a woman talk, massive loading time followed by, 20 seconds of watching criminals talk followed by massive loading time then finally, 10 seconds of the woman talking again followed by yet more loading at which point I gave up 😂 I have since played the game on a series x, and although there is less loading it’s still not a good video game - and probably never will be.
Yup, even with no bugs its just a pretty dull generic game unfortunately...it would appear cdpr are creatively bankrupt when they dont have a series of books to get the story from...who'd a thought
I actually only bought cyberpunk 2 days ago, I bought it in PS5 and honestly I can’t complain. It hasn’t crashed once and runs pretty smooth. Tried it on my PS4 and well, that was a complete other story. Crashed twice on PS4 in 3 hours.
What’s really sad is that the first two weeks of launch wasn’t this bad. Sure the crashes suck but I was able to finish the game before it got even worse. I played on a PS4 slim and the graphics looked decent, frames were somewhat stable and I enjoyed it. Then after said two weeks it went downhill. Enjoyed my time, but I don’t enjoy their incapability to fix this game.
Problem is they should have never released this on older gen consoles bc those consoles are so limited by their hardware tbh. I never ran into an issue once on PC :p

This game broke my heart honestly I played it on ps4 that first week and I was crushed by just how broken the game was but I persevered and played 6 it different times. With my experience I can tell you I've experienced every single glitch and problem you'd seen and more. Despite the problems I feel the games gonna be fixed at some point and my 60 dollars are gonna be worth it until then I'm not gonna pay more than 30 for another copy if I have to.
When it arrived I played it for 1 hour on PS4 and instantly returned it. Bought it for PC afterwards. When I pre-ordered, I didn't have a gaming PC yet. I have about 170 hours in now and got my money's worth, but it was really lacking in some aspects. Got every story done now, have every vehicle, almost every iconic weapon etc
Haven't watched the video yet, but I played Cyberpunk on a regular base ps4 like a week after it was removed from the psn store (bought a physical copy of the game from someone for like, $20), before any of the patches or anything, and it played fine. Only had 1-2 major graphical glitches, neither of which broke the game or any missions, it only didn't load in one of the marketplaces for a few seconds. There were some parts when driving in 3rd-person that caused a bit of lag, especially when turning sharply, but on-foot always handled well. I still wish the whole game could have been in 3rd person with cutscenes, since those cutscenes totally could have covered up loading times and other stuff. Like, being completely 1st-person without cutscenes bascially means everything is always onscreen including any glitches, and cutscenes could have helped hide that...
I was so hyped for this and thinking this would the best open world game ever. The first 15 minutes my game crashed and my save file was bugged and I knew from that moment.

Genuinely I bought a PS5 mostly for cyberpunk. I play other games on it but it’s mostly cyberpunk. I’ve got a gaming PC but it has a Ryzen 5600x I think and a GTX 1660 so while it’s not perfect it works to varying degrees. The PS5 just runs it consistently without having to worry about PC settings
I got this game day one on my Xbox one, and honestly didn’t have an issues with it, couple of crashes and bugs, but that’s it, ran well, didn’t get many frame rate drops or anything, game also looked really pretty too, and this was on a original Xbox one
Dude you went into the game without giving it much of a chance I’ve playing it on the ps4 slim for three hours and haven’t experienced any problems. The game is visually stunning.
My biggest fuckin issue with this game wasn’t even the bugs. Its the fake ass gun car chase sequences. They happen so fucking often and are so irritating. Like they advertised choice based and branching paths so much for nothing not even half your actions in action set pieces to matter. Ugh.
1 year later I just got it for Christmas. No crashes, but I had that one time I was going top speed on the Yaiba bike and falling through the world. Loading issues definitely, surprisingly I didn't care that much. I was having fun. Nothing to cry about. BTW I bought the digital version, Never buy PS4 Games in a form of DISC!!

I got this for PS4 (I have a Slim model) and never experienced _any_ issues. I was honestly a bit disappointed that I didn't see what everyone was complaining about.
I own a ps5 and I simply won't even attempt to buy it until the next gen version and even later if all the bugs haven't been ironed out. I'll wait many years until then
The PS4 version on PS5 is GREAT. Hear me out: Yes, it still crashes a little. Yes, there are a few glitches. But this game is now in my top 5 all time. It is really good and I can't wait for the next-gen version.
remember that v1.00 consoles are the version that you're supposed to play, the version that was supposed to come out April 2020, and was delayed so many times, the version that you paid $60 for, the version that is supposed to be playable right out of the box
Not sure how, but I completely missed the hype for this game, and when I finally heard about it (before release) it didn't look all the special compared to the other games coming out at the same time. Glad I skipped it.
Although I enjoyed it for what it was and did two full playthroughs (PC of course), damn they dropped the ball hard. No only for the technical issues (even on PC) but so many missing features that were straight up promised or heavily implied to just obvious QoL changes and improvements. Those unlucky enough to play it on console, I feel you. CDPR burned so much goodwill they had with this one release.
The fact that CDPR continues to sell this trash on PS4 is just even more evidence that they have absolutely no remorse for how this played out. No remorse for selling a lie, for the people who threw away their money, for the devs and QA testers who were targets of some people's anger, nothing. I've seen people compare Cyberpunk 2077 to No Man's Sky, and I don't think anything could be further from the truth.
I played it on PS4 originally. It didnt look too bad MOST of the time but it also didnt run too good a lot of the time, lot of frame rate issues and stuff loading in piecemeal right on screen very often. It was also pretty buggy but surprisingly not overwhelmingly, a lot it was less about "bugs" than just bad, unfinished programming lmao. Specific things were janky, which meant that you could pretty much learn to avoid a lot of it. The console itself was also not dealing with running it too well and it got pretty loud in graphics intensive areas of the city. It wasnt a terrible experience overall, I had fun with the game and was able to play through the whole thing, but clearly it was not optimized at all. And even after a shitton of patches when it crashed a lot less it never really was. Looking back now they had absolutely no business announcing a 2020 release date. They could have spent 2 more years on it, but in reality it should have been released like 2 months ago exclusively on next gen. Even if all they wanted to ship was the same version of the game with no additional content and very few major mechanical changes the earliest it should have come out is like spring 2021. It needed months of optimization and bugfixing. And now it seems like they've pretty much given up on it.
I played it on PS5 when my wife bought it for me for Christmas last year, so I missed out on a lot of the issues. But holy shit.. I didn't realize it was this bad for last gen

Zero crashes on PC, sorry for you console users 😫
@@sergtrufanov5565 my ass lol, it just freeze instead of crash, which is even worst since you have to shut it off manually. It must be really fking bad to crash on a fairly new gaming pc.
Someone in the comments claimed on their PS4 slim the “graphics were decent and frames somewhat stable” 💀 how is the bar set that low for some people that 10-20 frames are acceptable 🤡
My experience with the PS4 pro wasn’t bad till the first update. Then it definitely was unplayable. My current PS5 changes that now. I’ve yet to run into any major issues
Have you tried playing on 1.31? Or did you switch to PS5 by that time
I also played it on PS4 Pro. It wasn't too bad at first. After the next few updates I've experienced a bit more bugs and glitches. One thing I noticed the most was the voice audio on V and other NPCs talking on the same time, not talking or skipping lines.
@@MASTERDavid007 I wonder, if PS4 users with an SSD have the same issue

I finally figured it out. Cyberpunk is supposed to be the matrix when it glitches. That’s what I choose to believe to justify paying 30$ for the game.

@@dantederi5062 Same but I unironically loved the game. Objectively speaking, I wouldn't say it was worth it, but I don't regret it because I enjoyed it. I would say the game is worth like $15-$20 or maybe $30 if you don't care about bugs that much.
Don't give them an excuse. 🤣
Bugs and FPS were never my biggest problem with the game. The emptiness of the world and the meh gameplay are the reason I hate it.

@@killjoyblue7166 Except this one won't have a redemption like No mans sky.

The fact that they just removed nearly all cars driving around on the PS4 really annoys me more than it should
I played for a while on PS4 Slim now... It doesn't look like they removed most of cars. It looks more like they changed priority of things that load. And in some areas cars don't have time to load and spawn, because it's time to load all buildings and roads. PS4's hard drive might be good, but it's not enough for newest and latest games.
@@Evil_Pasta Only Cyberpunk has issues. Even Watch Dogs Legion works fine with a futuristic Night City type environment.
I got SSD yesterday. Cyberpunk runs perfectly on it, unlike the original HDD. Success. Now time to hope they will at least update Police

They literally made the game worse and it doesn’t even run that much better. I booted it up recently and it looks soo much worse than when i played at launch.

If the framerate wasn't shit, this be a super interesting surreal experience
Stable 30 fps on PS4 is already something I am impressed of
I played it on ps5 with I believe 60fps , not really worth it. Felt so empty.
Bugs Simulator 2077

Man, Fallout 76 looks great!
I recommend watching in 480p to feel like you're really playing Cyberpunk 2077 on ps4 at that moment
This is almost like playing GTA V with the Chaos mod, random stuff just happens all the time.
Yeah but thats Cyberpunk normally, no matter what system you play on this game is just utter chaos waiting to happen.

CDPR burned so much goodwill they had with this one release.
Stop being so goddam entertaining! I need to get work done.
The fact that CDPR continues to sell this trash on PS4 is just even more evidence that they have absolutely no remorse for how this played out. No remorse for selling a lie, for the people who threw away their money, for the devs and QA testers who were targets of some people's anger, nothing. No Man's Sky actually made good on all its promises over time, this game will forever be trash.
