This guy is using a Rift S which is not only discontinued, but the Rift S only has a resolution of 1280x1440 per eye. No wonder why he complains about it having a poor resolution. The Quest 2 has a resolution of 1832×1920, and looks really good using my PC.
I have to take Dramamine everytime I am in a car and not driving, or on the ocean, and wow I felt like shit just watching. Weird how the brain makes the body sick just imagining being in a scenario...
I played Skyrim VR once, for 5 minutes. It made me feel so sick and I had to lie down for about an hour. Motion sickness from VR is no joke, so well done for doing this!
you just need to grow your "vr legs". Few minutes daily, and after 2-3 weeks you are good. And best to start with titles you dont have to walk in. Or you can teleport instead.
@@piotrg9260 thanks for the tips. I think part of my problem was over confidence lol. In Skyrim, you get the option to walk for movement or to teleport. I stupidly chose walking. Will take your advice on board thanks!
I consider you a scientist on the forefront of the revolutionary research of cyberpunk and its development. I loved this game, and I want it to get much better. Maybe CD Project Red will pull a Hello Games move and make it easier for non-computer scientists to try out Night City in VR.
Doubt it lol. So much core stuff is missing.. so many missions are basically nothing.. it honestly needs a reboot or a sequel that actually has atleast half of what was promised.
"Don't think any of these Cars have a GPS system." Would be pretty redundant in a World where everyone & their mother has a bunch of computer chips with IHUD installed I'd say.
@@VRicken I bought VR because I thought Fallout 4 would be great. It was smoking hot garbage and I got instantly nauseous! The thing that I hated even more than vomiting in my mouth was how emersion breaking the point and teleport movement mechanic was.
Nope, couldn't even make it through a few minutes of this one. I'd have thrown up numerous times. Really hoping VR tech improves for us who get nauseous super easy.
The tech is getting closer, but the game has to be made for the tech to enjoy any of those advances. A general purpose mod might be able to make it vr, but none of the game design advancements that have been made for vr exist in this, so yeah, this is basically worse then original vr, back when the first proper vr headsets and games came out.
If external software can make Cyberpunk playable in VR, I could imagine some sort of universal translator that maps your basic WASD, space, etc., to whatever game you're playing. It's exciting to think about where this space is going.
You can easily play Cyberpunk 2077 using a PC that has a good graphics card, while using PC link (via wireless, or using a USB-C cable) to the $299 Quest 2. Very affordable. This guy was complaining about the poor resolution, but he is using the onlder and now discontinued Rift S, which only has a resolution of 1280x1440 per eye. The Quest 2 has a resolution of 1832×1920 per eye, and looks really good using my PC (RTX 3080). I also have the HP Reverb 2 now, and it even looks better (2160 x 2160 per eye).
@@sgodsellify To boost your argument, I have a pretty mid tier 5700xt and r5 3600. The game still looks very good on 1920x1720p on Quest 2. Not a crazy difference between say 2160p (Although that is still a little better) But due to this, fps is solid 60-70. The game feels AMAZING with Luke's mod. Don't even bother with Vorpx mod. It is pretty bad. Cyberpunk VR has become one of the most profound gaming experiences of my life. Only logged in about 7 hours. I've held off on playing and as a first time experience on VR, I'm absolutely blown away. People havent actually played Cyberpunk unless they did so on VR. This is about 100x better than even the best mods available for 2d vanilla version. Changes the game from great to masterpiece. This is not only the best VR game to date but also will reach my top 10 favourite games of all time (Probably). It is THAT good. So glad I didnt play the 2d vanilla version :D
This made me replay the game again lol Also I'm amazed taht the video hasn't been copystriked due to the radio music still playing. I always turn it off when doing a video for youtube. I know there's a streamer mode option but that's for streams only and it won't affect modded radio stations. I have a couple of radio replacer mods and it would definitely get me a strike as the option doesn't work for that lol
Im liking cyberpunk vr so far started it a week ago or so.. vorpx The keybindings and trying to get steam motion controllers to have all the needed buttons were a nightmare.. but everything else has been pretty great
yeah, if you have problems with motion sickness in VR, I'd suggest sticking to the more stationary games, and maybe try some with slower paced movement. Beat Saber is still really good, and Before You Fall is a hack and slash dungeon crawler with fairly slow sliding motion and puts up a sort of vignette border around the edges of the screen while you move specifically to help with motion sickness.
and just like that ive decided to buy an HTC headset, ive always loved this game and now its makin me get interested in VR which never appealed to me before cant wait for the official version

I have 5700xt and r5 3600. I've decided to try out the free new vr mod from Vorpx creator, Ralph. I also have Vorpx itself. Can you give me some tips? Do you think low-med settings are possible with a reasonable 1440p-ish resolution. I just want the game to feel smooth while maintaining some level of texture quality without getting pixalated constantly. Will it be an all right experience with this sort of rig?
i wanted to love cp77 so much.. I was so excited for it and i played it exclusively from the time i started the story till it was finished. then after i beat it i ran around doing random stuff for a bit but then it immediately got boring. Once in a while ill log in and run around aimlessly while i look at everything all sexy in 4k. But there isnt enough endgame content to keep playing it. this vr thing might make it fun again. I may have to try this.
Kevduit i love the jacket man and try beating cyberpunk ask johnny silverhand like just mod urself his outfit and gun and try beating it like him or just use a pistol as a challange

Kev, normally: these streets are empty, cars don't exist
Kev, playing in VR: there's too many cars, and most of them don't even exist!
