In 1966 West Ham became a national institution with World Cup winners Moore, Hurst and Peters and future England manager Ron Greenwood.

Surprised that reaching the 1976 cup winners cup final wasn’t mentioned. Although West Ham lost to a brilliant Anderlecht team, it was a great achievement getting to the final.

Most of them wouldn’t last 5 minutes!! Especially as tackling was allowed back then as well !! Today’s players finish the game and their kit is as clean as when they started the game!!

West Ham had a great team in the 1980 cup final, how did they get relegated with that team?? Or the bulk of that team??
