- Tried to make it so it happens in real time (except some slowmotions and dioalogues) but decided to leave some of those inner thoughts for better conext, otherwise it would be chaotic... Speaking of chaos, I also added sfx indication for time stop in few parts because it was too smooth without it...

You only realize how op dio is when you watch polnareff, one of the strongest stand users we know get defeated in a few seconds with barely any effort.
He wasn’t that impressive at all, he has speed and a sword and that’s about it,

Dio stopped time just before it hit him, but I didn't show that scene because the emerald splash is really fast, so that frame that I cut it on was actually the second before they got to him

@@kakacech Not just that, on the first encounter with polnareff, it's literally trolling. Kakyoin gets one-shotted on the other hand. It's just really sad that Kakyoin of all people didn't get a good send-off. Even Iggy got a better send-off, and I don't mean to say that I don't like but that he joined only during the second half of the part and that offends my feelings for Kakyoin
This is one reason I really liked the OVA, they really leaned into what a normal person would see often and played it so much better by not having the screen darken or the bass sound to indicate it happened
OVA is definitely much scarier and cooler from that perspective, the anime just makes it a much better "fight", yk? ova definitely got more aura w the timestops tho

The actual horror DIO inflicts on the crusaders isn’t conveyed that well in the anime, so this really puts it into perspective

The stairs part is more than enough horror to know that polnareff was not in control of that fight and any of the crusaders could be killed instantly without any effort, horrifying opponent

Imagine how much more impactful it would be if Kakyoin did just get randomly donuted and thrown back like in this video. Imo that would've done a much better job of showing the threat of timestop and would be a better point to start showing the frozen time sections

Imagine, all throughout the adventure, Dio would randomly stop time for some reason, and jotaro would just stand there somewhere miles away from Dio wondering why tf time is suddenly stopped.
That's how he got the drink during the Darby fight.
I love how we get to so vividly see how incredibly angry Jotaro is when he is beginning to fight Dio. Like that is one angry AAOOOOOH!

To be fair if I was a 100+ years vampire that's already strong alone by that and also had the most powerful (at the time) stand that was able to stop time I would also take my time to mess around with people and look cool, it's not like anyone else can match The World's strength and abilities haha right?

Its kinda like the OVA, where before Jotaro even understands DIO's ability, we are shown it from his perspective. DIO just...vanishes. Appearing in different places. No sound effects or anything, hes just there and gone the next.
This would genuinely be mindbreakingly horrifying to witness. Imagine one of the most physically powerful stand users is coming after you, and things just instantly happen with seemingly no rhyme or reason.
You're Kakyoin attempting to shoot a 20 meter Emerald Splash, and a split second later you're now flying into a water tower with a gaping hole in your chest.
You're Polnareff attempting to throw a killing blow at Dio, but now all your ribs are broken and you were sent flying into a brick wall.
It's even worse for Jotaro too. He doesn't realize he has this ability as well until Dio activates it and he can no longer move. All he could do was watch as Dio walked over to his grandfather and threw a knife at his throat.

That isn't correct. Hamon isn't consantly active 100% of the time. He has to specifically breathe to activate it. We see this multiple times over parts 1, 2 and even once in part three where joseph destroys the flesh bud from Kakyoin's forehead. If joseph's hamon was active 100% of the time he wouldn't be able to touch anything or anyone because he would just burn them. He saw Dio starting to stop time, which he already knew he could do, so he activated his hamon just in time before he was frozen. My comment does make sense, you just didn't understand it.@@pfuze_5775

Not really, no. Jotaro timed it so that his active time began right before DIO’s ended, so they overlapped a bit.

FIrst of all, Dio's time stop in his latest in the battle lasted for NINE seconds.
Second of all, the change of color scheme is something that happens whenever an object is moved during time stop. Not only the Road Roller had it's normal color pallete because it was being moved and broken, but also the knives that DIO threw at Joseph and Jotaro too.
Third, and last of all, Everything in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is slow-paced when it comes to a fight, so they can be the most understandable. That's common sense.
Knowing the manga explicitly says Jotaro and Dio's battle barely lasted more then 3 minutes, this "gap" between Dio's 9-second time stop and Jotaro's 5-second time stop you are trying to "point out" means jack shit.
This actually makes the hint that jotaro was trying to learn how to stop time. After he knows what dio is doing, he is usually barely facing dios direction even though he wasnt before time skip

There definitely is a cool down but the more accurate answer might be that Jotaro doesn't want to rely on the ability that killed his friend as much.
For him it's a sort of last ditch effort in order to safe himself and the people around him.

@@user-kr3ug7lc7cand also the fact that (iirc) it was stated in either part 3 or 4 that it took a toll on the users heart to stop time, so if Jotaro had used it often there was a chance he'd have a heart attack and die, but since Dio was a vampire he could use it much more often, and really had no hard limit on his time stopping potential. He could very easily get it up to hours of stopped time, with the only limitation being how much time he's willing to endure being in frozen time, since my guess as to how it increases is by pushing the limit of time stop by going for longer and longer times each time. Sorry about the paragraph, but it's a concept I find interesting so I really couldn't stop myself lol.
@@user-fh3im9xe9uthis is why SP changes during part 4 and 6 the time stop went down to only 2 seconds because jotaro didn’t practice it and SPs durability dropped in part 6 because he was getting old and had to bring it back up
@@seasons1745 was definitely more because of lack of training than him getting old, he was only like 40 in part 6. plus we only see his dropped durability after he was on life support for like 6 months, his durability before that was the same as every other part

We need a full cut of jojo but without showing the stands, neither their powers working, and also without their thoughts, to see how a normal person sees this whole shit going down.

There’s no other way to justify the stairs scene. Araki had to have decided that DIO was using his powers to move Polnareff down individual stairs

No it was his stand, because dio was in the same position every time after the time stop
@AmmarMalik64 Dio was stopping time and moving him back down because he wanted Polenarreff to be on his side. He wasn't trying to kill him. Dio moved back to his original position because he didn't want to get Polenarreff to find out what his stand can do.

This is nice to see, however I still feel the OVA did a way better job with the timestops. They didn't have dramatic music all the time, no sound effect for the timestops we didn't see, and no effect of the screen turning black for a tiny bit. We just witnessed it raw and I think it was way more terrifying then
You should do one for King Crimson's time skips
Then Dio proceeds to finish the fight with a kick. Before his legs are healed. Instead of taking the opotunity to back off, time stop again to get away, and then just rush Jotaro down at close range with punches until his time stop wins out and then snap his neck
I was really hoping we'd see Dio walk down the stairs, pick polneraff up, and just put him down a couple of steps before walking back up and resuming his MENACING POSE
The anime doesn’t do nearly as good of a job making you realize how fucking terrifying dios ability really is, they darken the screen and give you the time stop sound every time when chatting about jotaro being able to see inside stopped time, the ova just having dio completely disappear from one frame to the next shows you how scary it is
