Well Alrighty! My 'first of six' '69 Firebirds was 'overquartered'. So wide, it was missing the outside bumper brackets! New quarters were installed. Now to replace the bent front sub frame and get the rebuilt 400 & 4-speed reinstalled. Can't wait to see the GTO work in progress. Best of Luck on the home sale!
Thanks for the video when I was 13 years old my neighbor bought a brand new GTO Judge 1969 it was Green with green interior he got a deal on it because nobody wanted to buy a green GTO I had about 1200 miles on it from the dealer they used it for a demo model that was a cool car I doubt that it exists now I'm a geezer now but when I was a kid that was a lot of fun he had it for a long time I tried to buy it in 1975 but he still wouldn't sell it I heard he traded it for a 54 Corvette in the '80s in the Corvette was a basket case and the judge still is in good shape have a great day
Well buddy you got me beat I only have Birds here in the garage you have birds and a goat I would love to see you do your magic on the metal on the GTO and whatever you decide to do with the car I know you will make the right choice
Remember Jon…. Ratchet straps and “come-along’s” are your friend. 😊 An amazing wife you have if she is onboard with yet another car in the stable. If it needs to find a temporary home, there’s always the prospect of a storage garage.
Jon, I am so looking forward to this build. I love the way you take your viewers through all the stages of restoring these Pontiacs and this one will make me miss my '69 Expresso Brown RA III GTO even more!!! Good luck with the sale of the VVG Headquarters!
Love your videos man. Just wondering if you have a previous video explaining how you started building cars, are you a body man/mechanic as a career? Ive gone back to the very start of your vids, but cant find anything, so far! Sorry no where else to post this question lol
Either way I'll be watching. If you get it finished then we'll all know if you're going to sell. I would recommend selling it to one of your followers. Maybe even get on the bandwagon and give it away!!! Look on TH-cam, everyone is doing it.
Might sell it as is, if I finish the build I will guarantee the wife wont let it go. I am on the fence because I have 4 old Pontiacs I don’t need that many. Plus storing them all is an issue
John, i thought you already had an orange Judge. Ive seen it in the background of some of your older videos and and the end of this one. Where did that one go?
You would be correct I had that car over 20 years. Sold it to buy this car. My old car was just a lemans painted and done up to look like a judge. It was showing its age and wasn’t excited to do it again so when this car came up I opted to spend my money and energy on a real judge instead.
I agree I want to keep it part of the reason looking for someplace to move to. I don’t have a garage to keep it in if I want to still play cars. It’s depressing what’s available and how much people are asking for homes. Let’s just say what I am seeing the asking price is double what it was 5 years ago. And I am not making twice as much to cover the difference 🤷♂️
I understand completely. Housing market is crazy now. I hope it all works out for you to keep the car and find a bigger place to play cars in. Crazy what you do in a small 2 car garage so be great to see what you can do in a bigger shop. Good luck!
@@VinylVillageGarage I understand completely. I'm in the same situation. I have a 69 Mach I S Code and I only have essentially a 1 car garage for it. I've been trying to move for a while too, but things have gotten really expensive here as well. My two favorite cars are the 69 and 70 Judges, so I was really looking forward to watching you restore yours. I can't help you with a bigger place, but I'd be more than happy to help you work on the cars any time you need an extra set of hands. Thanks for all the great videos!
Probability of selling is like 10% it will be such a great car to have plus I don’t see it needing a lot of money or expensive metal work to get it sorted out.
“Judging “ by the work you’ve done on the Firebirds, this is going to turn out amazing. Looking forward to this project.

Oh! I’m very excited to see the Judge is your next build!
Yes yes am getting exciting for the Judge Build!!!

It would have been amazing if you were able to get it. I can’t recall seeing any green judges so it would have been a bit of an oddity.
I have hoped you would do a GTO at some time and now my wish has come true. I'm sure it's going to be awesome. "Here comes the Judge"!
Gonna be a Great Watch!
Beulah Ballbricker, got a feeling it's going to live up to it's name!
Here comes the JUDGE!

The Judge! Awesome. Good luck with your project. You got this. Thanks for posting. I am a new subscriber.
Nice. I'm jealous.
I like the first generation of the GTO also had a friend back home he had a 65 loved it, got to drive it one time 👍

I am really looking forward to your judge journey. I am 1000% sure that that car is going to come out incredibly good or in your case gooder.
This car has all
Kinds of potential, I typically get rusted out bodies that need a lot
Of sheet metal replaced, not so much on this one.

This is going to be great. I had a 1968 GTO.
Looking forward to this project!
Oh Yea... Looking forward to this one !
Sweet 💪😎
Another fun challenge 💪💪👍👍👍👍
I hope its just the quarter panel 😅
Looking forward to the project

Yup ...it's gooder to see another one being saved... looking forward to seeing this build content....thanks....🔧🔧👍
You probably have already thought of this but you should get a single block and tackle pulley to help you offload non running projects by yourself
Yeah. Normally they roll right of the trailer but the rear brakes dragging kicked my butt. That’s to be expected it’s been sitting for several years
Is this car gonna be for sale???

Cool. Not Sunbird cool but still cool. 😜
Only a select few are cool enough to have a vintage sunbird. 😎
@@VinylVillageGarageOr three? 🤔😝
I really hope you can build this car, I know it will be done right. You’ll regret selling it if you do! Haha.

@justindennis1186 thanks man!
I agree with your wife! If you get rid of that car I just may have to unsubscribe!!!
I don’t want to. I am hopeful to find a place larger to be able to keep it. So far I am still suffering with sticker shock on house prices.
