Let's be honest. LeeandLie has never disappointed in any cover they've done. They're remarkably talented.
The only time I was ever disappointed was when the cover of Butterfly was just the TV Size and not the full version.

Have you heard of her cover of part one? It's just as spectacular as this one. I've been waiting for them to do part two for quite awhile. Glad to see they didn't decide to skip it.
At 3:14 , God Dang that YOU part steals the show for me and I think even escalates it above more in my opinion. As I can feel the sadness and possible anger mixed in with it. As Ruby speaking to her mother both sad and mad she left her, even if she understood the reason why she did it. It just this songs feels like it carries more emotion then the original in a way but the OG will still always be gold, this just feels like Gold with an extra sprinkle of gold on top that makes you feel the emotion in the song. A song between a Mother having to leave her daughter for the greater good and asking her not to follow in her steps. A daughter sad, angry, and torn at her mothers decision to leave her, even though she understands. Still ultimately following in her footsteps despite her mother saying not to as its the right thing to do.
I'm literally rewatching Rwby, and just finished the 1st volume, and I see her post this. I'm not sure what to think. Kind of creepy how that played out. But yes more Rwby songs from Lee!

Probably the best cover I've ever heard of this song. The sheer emotion brought across with the vocals is beyond amazing
I loved the trailers, and the first few episodes, but Players and Pieces, and the fight against the Nevermore and Deathstalker, is still my favorite moment in the series, and completely hooked me on RWBY as a whole.

Casey Lee Williams has a great voice, but by the gods this verison hit me hard. I lost my grandmother when I was too young to really understand what was going on, but listening to this video brought twlears to my eyes thinking of her. When Summer "sung" her part you fell the warning she is trying to tell Ruby
Team STRQ was divided so maybe Summer felt like she had no choice but to face Salem alone. Unlike Summer, Ruby has Team RWBY and the rest of her friends by her side, so hopefully things will turn out better this time.

LeeandLie is definitely the place to go to for music like this. SoundCloud is no match. Trust me. LeeandLie doesn’t sacrifice lyrics for rhythm or music. Every other artist does just that. They even change the lyrics most times. Definitely adding this to my playlist.

Rooster Teeth also did a series called RWBY rewind where they recap the episodes of the most current episode of RWBY they didn't do it for 7 and they're probably not going to do it for 8 but if you want to watch a RWBY rewind you can I'm not forcing you to

I'm blown away by the talent that's gone into this and I appreciate the personal touches. It's amazing that for a duet that's being sung by one vocalist, I don't even need to visual cues to know which character is speaking - I can simply tell by the subtle changes in the pitches and tones of voice used. Nonstop chills. Excellent job!!!

I am a huge RWBY fan from Volume 1 and I've always loved all of the soundtracks. Normally I do not like covers of Casey's songs, especially this song because nobody ever comes close to the original or does it justice. This cover has been the exception. There are many covers of this song out there and this one is by far the best I have ever heard. Excellent cover, you really did put your own spin on the song whilst keeping it fairly close to the original, whilst simultaneously improving on the original song. Bravo.
Honestly, I think she would be a great song creator for any anime series. She would be the ace, the genius, and a legend to music design and art design. The dislikes are who wouldn't understand the music potential and how much time LeeandLie put in this that made already a good song, a more majestic piece of art on its own. Love your work LeeandLie

@@Northstar3595 yup in the first 2 volumes I didn't think too much of the show, don't get me wrong i still loved it, but ever since pyrrha's unfortunate death I was really really invested in the show. Although there is one problem I have with the show and that Is there are some not explained well in the rwby series so I had to watch world of remnant eps to learn about that stuff. For example- I never knew this when I watched the series but then I watched world of remnant I realised each Kingdom was in a continent, something I never knew before, even if rwby still remains one of my all time favourite shows and I'm not giving up on because of that!
