When you say you mix a live snare with an electronic, do you mean a sample of a live snare and a sample of an electronic snare? Or that you're playing a second snare live on top of a locked in electronic snare?
I meant a sample of a live snare, mixed with a sample of a drum machine snare. I find the drum machine snares more punchy, but they lack the organic feeling of live snares so I mix them together
