Yeah sure a 100 something buck vst(or free if you're into pirating) will never have a huge sound as a grand piano or a 100 watt amp, but it sure as shit can sound the same through headphones.

As a huge Daft Punk fan since the beginning i found it so soothing to enjoy robotic vocals (vocoder, talk box) because i knew that they were still sung, written and performed by humans and the fact that you could hear a light french accent made it even more personal. If the human factor is missing, all the essence is basically gone in my opinion, resulting in a cold, artificial sound that somehow doesn‘t trigger my sense of enjoying a musical piece. I therefore do not support AI when it comes to vocals specificly.
