Hey everyone. Thanks for the comments. Just to clear things up, we do have a dumbwaiter. Serving plated food is all about speed and to keep all of it in place. To have two chefs neatly place all the food in the dumbwaiter and send it up, then to collect it nicely, wait together and then place it takes much to long. Ill ask the chef why they don't use it more often but there are a few reasons. Thanks again for all the comments.
Thanks Jared. It seems a strange layout for the galley to be so far removed from the guests dining areas. I did feel sorry for the young girl, but it was strange the plate was tipped by the heel of the waitress in front for the first time - and on camera.
@@waynedrummond6583 I believe the Galley is placed in a position on the vessel that will provide the least movement, as opposed to Aft, etc., which inherently makes them kind of far away.
@George My point is that HNWI paying guest are not expecting anything other than perfection. Staff at this level of the game should be perfect, not learning.
@@theartist124 My experience has it that super and mega yachts have more than one galley. One for the donkey work being done by experienced sailor/chef/sous chef etc usually in a restricted crew-only area, which may or may not be within easy wait distance to the dining areas (BUT NOT THROUGH GENERAL GUEST PASSAGEWAYS AND STAIRS), and the other smaller but well-positioned for finishing and plating. This yacht is unusual in it's layout as having only one galley three decks below the alfresco dining area deck. This is not to say it's in the incorrect location for the formal dining room on the boat.
The yacht was i worked on, no mistakes by staff went unpunished the owner thought it was good for the disapline of the other staff ,and insisting it be witnessed by all staff.
This channel is the best thing that happened to Arience. There's no yacht I wish to spend a vacation in more than Arience as a direct result of this channel. Not to mention the amazing and interesting insights into the yachting world that you provide. Never stop, Jared!
I loved this video! So cool to see the perspective of people who work on these superyachts. There's a million youtube videos of yachts, but those are always on the other side of the camera. I would love to see more vid's like this one. Thanks very much for sharing Jared!
A degustation menu is in its simplest form a menu put together for tasting. It can sometimes comprise of up to 20 courses where you will be given a selection of fine food to sample. More often than not these menus are matched with quality wine that will complement each course.
It's been commented already many times, but one more WOW can't hurt...loved this insight into the Interior group's service efforts. Great job by all your guest camera operators...would love to see more of that. Seems like a great crew...and I'm quite certain their calf muscles are like rocks having to work all those stairs!!
Loved this video featuring so many other crew members and the lots of hard work they do for one dinner meal like that. It seems like that crew must have been great fun to work with over the entire season.
Thank you for taking time to show us this beautiful yacht and what is required to function, while maintaining aesthetics. Just as in an orchestra, if one member should miss a cue, others instinctively adjust to insure a good performance. At 70+, I'm learning about yachting, so please accept my comments as unqualified. If the crew finds that a dumbwaiter slows the service, that may show a design problem. Aircraft are built with multiple units, allowing many items to shuttle rapidly between decks. Having crew carry items in both hands up several decks shows a need to modify the design, add dumbwaiters or holding stations, or rework the procedures. Other than that observation, I think you have a beautiful ship and really great crew.
I'm gonna get me a yacht hopefully within the next 2 years. With that I've learned that I've got to make sure to take care of my Crew. You guys are Awesome!
I didn’t eat any of the wonderful eight courses, but I appreciate the incredible hard work you all did after looking at the behind the scenes of just one dinner, one night among the multiple nights guess stay aboard Arience, a tip of the hat 🎩 to all. Fantastic job
Jared Watney you deserve every one of those subs mate. Great insight Jared, really interesting and i cant believe the level of detail you and your staff go into for your guests. awesome stuff that raw content brings out that we little people don't normally get to see. And not a drone in sight lol! keep it up bru and enjoy
