Blair.. your content is great.. been LOVING it. But when you see this slick work.. you see next level. I hope you took notes and are learning from your fellow Saffa, Jared. Blair.. keep up the Loon content!!
This is Awesome, seems like all my favorite youtubers comes together around Loon. Awesome Jared . Epic filming, epic cutting, epic transitions, epic everything.
I struggle with spending $5000 for a week of vacation and there are people that can afford half a million for a week. That is crazy and awesome at the same time. What an experience it would be to spend a week on that gorgeous vessel!!
I think that's the magic of the charter experience. The crews and management go to a lot of effort to make everything perfect and create that experience. Loon has the reputation for doing this very well, and it's up to the guests to decide how much their experiences and memories are worth. If it's a group chartering, super yachts have 12 guest limit so the cost becomes "only" $45k a head, which is closer to other luxury holidays. Sure, you'd still need to be wealthy, but you'll get that ultra-wealthy experience!
@@kb9liq It's certainly not cheap, but there are ways. I used to run a business and we'd get offers of corporate hospitality packages, which included charters. There were more expensive things, like hospitality at F1 races and major sports events. I also know people who've retired, downsized and used some of that money to treat themselves. If there's a group of friends doing this around the same time, cost is more manageable.
What a sick edit well done guys! I already miss the crew and the good vibes! Until our next big project Loon🔥 massive shoutout to the OA boys and Loon crew for capturing all this amazing footage!
I would hazard that Jared has done more for advertising and displaying the industry than any of the many other splendid folk (Such as Nina the CrewChef) who have followed in his footsteps. He is the leader in the at-sea, super yacht, you tube experience.
You are to kind. Thanks so much for the support. Luckily none of us are in competition and we are simply leading the way forward for more media creation in yachting. An inevitable increase in media in yachting will benefit all of us and we are all just happy to be here 😎
I follow the MY Loon here on youtube. It is a fun channel to watch and it is cool to see how everything in their industry works. Jared, I actually found this type of lifestyle and cool yachting experiences through your videos, years ago. Your videos gave me the bug to watch these types of videos and now I follow a few others in this industry. Thanks Dude!!
What an amazing vessel/platform to create an inspiring experience on the water. Crew seems to always stretch and strive to provide the ultimate experience. Thanks for a glimpse of what they do to stage a charter... Cheers
I remember watching videos of Jared when he was the deck hand on the red eye shift! It is crazy to see how far you’ve come and I can’t wait to see where this goes!!
I miss the Arience days a lot. Especially after making videos like this with Loon. Unfortunately we just didn’t have the opportunity to do what Loon is doing now with their channel. They still a highly successful platform for charter but no longer active on socials. For now…
dayummm you guys. this is how you do content in the yachting industry. Why - cause your future clients are watching and loving the storytelling and characters ;) keep it UPPPP
Wow, what amazing levels of service! I'd feel guilty about having a shower or sitting on the bed though if I knew it meant someone was going to have to come and do all that! Amazing work that the crew does!
Subscribed to Loon as I have subscribed to Nina @ Thecrewchef for a couple years. The Loon has MTU engines as well and I’m retired from MTU America so bonus. Beautiful boat. Have enjoyed your videos as well Jared. How are you doing flying your plane.
Love the video footage Jared! You and your team continue to amaze with the quality shooting and editing. One thing from a content perspective, I kinda feel it over the top for the cabin stew's to constantly be cleaning and fixing the beds after EVERY use! I am definitely not use to that level of service! I would be just fine to have a daily clean, Excellent food, and a seaborne adventure. Don't get me wrong, I think these girls work very hard (Loon and other yachts you have showcased). Personally, the best of my day (if I were onboard) would be having early morning coffee with the captain on the bridge! I'm an old sailor at heart, can't sleep in, and love seeing a boat in operation. Thanks, Jared.
As a guest you can request the interior to not have to keep making beds etc but the standard is to keep absolute 5* service. Should you as a guest want less attention, you can simply request it.
I had to laugh at the, "You would never go to the same restaurant for..." comment. I am a retired Police Officer, most every morning...hell...EVERY morning, it was the number 3 breakfast meal for me at McDonalds. Getting up at 0430 to be ready to go by 0515 and at work by 0530, only afforded me McDonalds!
This is not an insult in the slightest, because I'm in the "same boat" 😂 as you. However that comment about eating out is for the 0.01%, not us normal folks. The last boat Jared did a video about cost 185,000 euros per week to charter... So yeah.
Lots of respect for the crew (except that one guy who missed his line throw, we all saw you on IG, you know who you are) Been following them for a little while and it's like the whole crew was asked to "Jared" (yes i turned your name into a verb) The captain is young and laid back so that seems to trickle down to the crew, making for a veeeryy relaxed boat on screen, can you comment about if this is the standard in the industry or an exception? Is my assessment wrong?
Haha that may be the first time I have been used as a verb. A boat crew and type of person definitely filters down from the captain. Everyone onboard is proud to be on Loon and it shows. Having a crew like this is what separates great boats from the crowd. The ability to offer crew a unique package, be it unique locations, holiday, good pay, a spot on a vessel in the limelight, a family style crew etc. It’s not the “norm” and there really is no norm. Each vessel is run differently. Each vessel attracts a different type of client.
Background music is kind of loud Jared. Might want to turn it down some. Really drowned out the audio of Maxine talking, but overall, like all your videos...awesome
I'd like to see the cost breakdown of a $540,000 7 day holiday on MY Loon. I guess there is the crew wages, fuel, food, maintenance, port fees, inspections and compliance, pilot fees, costs of finance if the boat or anything on it is bought on credit, internet. But what else ? And how much profit - !0,20,50% ?
Jared, is that some gray I’m noticing? Or just the lighting? On a serious note I’m dipping my toes in the world of boat content creation. Got any suggestions for capturing audio in interviews while on a budget setup and using an iPhone as the camera?
