Look up Millyard motorcycles. Dude garage build custom v12s v8s 5cyls makes bigger engines from original motors. Swapping parts etc. Guy is a loteral rocket scientist but built a v10 viper motorcycle in his tiny garage. Its this kinda stuff but on another level.
@@classicrevsinc9277 uhhh no prolly not that much hp n/a. More like 600hp. Thats still 2hp per cu. Inch which is amazing. And yes a guy did similar in 1971 with 351 heads but had to modify MUCH MUCH more to get flow rate
I can't believe everything lined up so well with the head bolt holes and all that kind of stuff. I guess if the pistons are the same size then it makes sence that the bolt holes would be pretty close to being in the same place but I never thought it would be so close. I'm a fan of the Ford 300/4.9 and am currently building one of my own. This is an absolutely awesome project
Eh he is likely better off running it like this. Depending on firing order you can get pulses in a large intake that actually prevent fuel from getting to cyl it needs too
I'm mostly a ford guy, but I don't have any loyalty to the brand. I must say the LS is the best ready to get pushrod motor anyone can get their hands on and if you needed a great set of heads to rig onto a Ford 300, you really could do better for the money.
Well theres a guy casting his own DOHC heads for old L6 nissan straight 6 cylinders. He is pattern maker so prolly could cast a head for this. Maybe even with not too many modifications. Its a ka20 or ka24 nissan style head. I think guy is DatsonWorks is his blog. Guy is amazing
You not doing any forged internals are you ? I’m getting the stuff together for a similar build but I’m thinking 390fe pistons and 300 rods both foraged we’re I’m planing to try to mock up a m122 supercharger but the less stroking the better so you know if you can get forged 240 rods ?
@@fiskshopworx1541 - Cool. Me and a few other people got to chatting about engines and someone brought up an LS Ford 300. I didn't know other people had made one too. I dropped your channel name and a link, so you might get a few more views out of it.
Absolutely love this "back yard garage" hey what if I did this, could it work??? Yes, can't wait to see hear it run, awesome, hats off to you!!!
They used to do this back in the day easy 1200hp right there

12,000hp my guy did 😉 we used briggs
I guess 420hp

You are the man. This is some amazing work. Take it to a dyno if you can, and see what it can do
Hey mate awesome build keen to see more of this motor
Really keen to see how it's shapes up to Cleveland headed version from 70s, m guess Is very well 👌
I wonder if you could use 2 aluminum aftermarket SBF heads?
Nice, thanks for showing more details about this setup.
Wow, can't believe you don't have more subscribers?
Great engineering looking forward to hearing it run and drive.
Just like you, I would love to see if it works.
@@RS-lt2ueStill don't know in June '23
That is stunningly amazing!!!!!!
Dude, so awesome! I can't wait to see and hear it run. I'd also like to hear it with a 6 into 1 header, sixes sing with a single collector.
No no no that can’t be the end of the video! We need more now
All this time I been crying about no barras in the us when I should have been in the shop making my own!
Absolutely can’t wait to see it run. Hope that head doesn’t get hot for you cause I would Love to build my own
Man I'm loving can't wait to hear it run. U have guy's losing there mind wanting one
You should make a 2nd head for use as a mold. This needs to be manufactured and sold.
Food for thought maybe connecting the two plenums together?

" Everybody want's to be a Hot Rodder, till it's time to do Hot Rodding sh*t. ''
When you gonna have a video of it running?
Looking good! Cant wait to see what you do with it!
Thats AMAZING ! BUT when will we see a dyno run and some street driving?
So when do we get to hear it run? This thing is great!
Couldn't you put some sort of press fit tubing in the inside where they mate? To eliminate the outer cross over tubing?
Best motor EVER made just got bettererer!!!🤕🔨💯
Amazing and glad you’re sharing!
Can’t wait to see this engine running
Can’t wait to see it run
This reminds me of that English fella that chops up bike motors and welds them together. Millyard I believe was his last name
Exactly my thought.
this might just be the coolest thing ive ever say
my bud has a 6 out of an old 50's comet
i have to check it out
Love this! Any updates?
Sorry, yes have ran the engine but I'm having issues with the video and audio.
@@fiskshopworx1541 please, any update and video would be great !
This is absolutely wild!!!
What are the power increase numbers…
Cool stuff I would love to make something like this for mine.
LP mod looks clean....let me know when i can get a motor from FSW ?

If this doesnt prove how similar SBF and LS architecture is I dont know what does.
Doesn’t seem to be a video
Looking nice 👍
There are many people interested in a cross flow head. Would you make more of these?
It is very time consuming, if some templates were made it would make it easier.
Dude this is badass!!
did it run???
How did you make the pass through with water throughout the back 3 cylinders ?
It flows externally from cylinder 4 up to cylinder 3 through stainless tubes.
Why did ya block off the cylinders before welding? Worries of sealing it?
No good way to weld the inside of the cooling passages.
If it all works, hopefully some company will offer a proper casting using the LS parts. we can then all join in the fun.

What would change to do a head for me !thks
What vehicle is it going in? Looks like a pickup?
Where you at?
I cannot wait my man!

I believe the early 240 rods were forged. I don't remember what year for sure. I think 1968 and earlier.
You ever going to get that motor running or what!
Any updates on this engine?
I've ran it, but it is running lean with an intake gasket leak, I've got some better gaskets I need to get installed and run it again.
Update?
Is there an performance aluminum head available for the 300.?
Nothing other then an full race head that has no coolant passages.
i want one. or two.
It's been a while. Have you gotten it up and running? How has it turned out?
I've got it running. Need to change intake gaskets, I've just been busy with work and other projects

have you ran it yet ?????
Yes I have. It's running lean, I need to rejet.

does it run?
Yes it's running
Fuck yes this is awesome
And all this fab… where the turbos

Could someone please share me a link to a more *insane build* than this?
Paint, wheels and dual exhaust are not "custom'. This IS "Custom".
Umm. Yes.

Our company would like to invite you to try our products, how can I get in touch with you?
I'm predicting 500+hp
Not enough cam and compression for that much, but it'll be pretty stout for sure!
